Wow, I just had a fantastic breakfast at Tarka Diner, the food was amazing, the American diner atmosphere was great and the staff are so friendly. Best breakfast in Bideford 👍👍
An amazing gem hidden away. Well worth the small walk or drive to find it. It's a short distance from the Tarka track. The interior decoration and food are excellent. Nice freindly staff. There is space for parking outside.

A great place for a drink and even better for breakfast! Generous portions, friendly staff and comfy chairs. The design is great, like an old 50s American diner, with LPs as placemats and old rockabilly memorabilia everywhere. Plus the old 50s and 60s music is cool too. They are open to 6pm most days but later on the weekends.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here today. As a family of five they catered very well for us, and were really friendly throughout.
The meals were huge and the prices cheap; top that off with being really good quality and extremely tasty it's an all round winner. All three of our kids were insisting on us returning again this week, before we had even finished!
It's tucked away on an industrial estate, but is a real little gem! If you only choose one place in Bideford to eat out, then do yourself a huge favour and eat here!
We shall return!!
A little gem! Went to a 50's and 60's themed night and had a great time. Friendly staff, good food and entertainment. Will definitely be going back.
Food and service excellent. Our waitress was friendly and helpful the place had a great atmosphere and the music was superb and the decoration/cleanliness very good. We had a lovely lunch and will be going back soon.

We decided to try the Tarka diner as we’ve previously had lunch there & we both loved the atmosphere.
Staff are friendly & courteous. We waited eagerly for our big breakfast & we were not disappointed at all.
Fresh local produce, eggs were amazing, proper fresh sausages & bacon - all freshly cooked. The bread was fresh & the hash browns were home made & not the rubbish from supermarkets.
This is the he No 1 breakfast for us & we will definitely be back again & again & again

Met a friend here for lunch as we'd both been meaning to check the place out since it opened. The location is a little remote but there is ample parking. The decor is brilliant, managing to bring the feel of an American style diner without being too tacky. Food was great, portions were reasonable and service was excellent. Saw adverts for the music evenings they offer and will be back for one of those soon.
Today we arrived at about 11.30am to enjoy a brunch. Well what a pleasant surprise! We were greeted by Rob who let us decide where we wanted to sit and gave us menus. Lorraine came and took our order and was possibly the friendliest waitress I have ever met. We ordered Eggs Atlantic, Irish Benedict Eggs both with extra black pudding and a portion of fries. The food arrived in about 15-20 mins and was fantastic. It was hot, fantastic flavours, excellent black pud and the portion size was bang on, well done chef! A little down was the temperature of the diner, a little chilly especially when the doors were opened, but you should also be congratulated on your toilets, clean and tidy. When I went to pay, Rob was chatty and friendly at the till, with a smily chef in the kitchen (a rare sight!!). Overall we congratulate you as a team, such a lovely experience, we will be back and would certainly recommend.
