Lovely traditional pub, all staff friendly and helpful. Good selection of traditional pub food at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit when you also consider the views

Lovely, rustic pub with fantastic food in a stunning location. LOADS of outdoor seating with a huge car park and incredible views. Good beer, too! Massively recommend.

Hartland Quay Hotel and Wreckers Bar are an absolutely fantastic location situated just above the breakers rolling across the Atlantic. Used as a set on many films, it's retained it's authenticity, it's a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year. Always a warm welcome from staff, dog friendly and a good choice of food and drink on offer. My only gripe is there is an underlying smell of cooking fat!!! It won't stop me visiting again either by car or when walking the Coast Path, you won't find a hostelry this close to the Sea with these views for at least 15 miles, in each direction. Thanks

Rode up on my motorcycle on a fairly busy weekend. Got seated straight away and had quick service too. Food was great too. Lovely location on the rugged Devon coastline.

Fantastic food, drinks and very attentive staff nestled beside some of the most dramatic geological outcrops along the coast. All the regular pub favourites on the menu and at the bar. Walls are hung with lots of historical info about shipwrecks and survivors. Warm, relaxing interior and ambiance. The only advice is to wear ear-muffs before using the hand-driers in the toilets - which are sufficently loud to pass as intruder alarms.

The Wreckers Retreat, what can you say. We'll it's a great Retreat when the weather turns or the wind blows the cobwebs from you 🀣. No realy it's a great place. We had a snack on one day while walking back to a local camp site, which we stayed and returned to have a bar meal after we saw them arriving at other tables. This place is located in a place that if any where else would charge though a fortune dude to the monopoly they have on the visitors, but they don't. I found the prices very good and the portions of food a good size. The staff professional, speedy and polite. For us they're not a million miles away, so would we return, yep. So the food, Ham sandwich- side salad and a pot of coleslaw. On our return the next day we had Local Pasty and chips and Ham & Egg. 😁

I love the situation of the Wreckers Retreat. We have visited it a lot . It almost hangs off the stunning cliff formations. Very old , good car park, good Pub Grub, and lots of outside seating. It was crowded when we dropped in for lunch, but as I was cold, they kindly told us as soon as a table vacated. So lovely lunch, and took some more photos of the rocks.
