I recently had the pleasure of dining at a very quaint cafe that served seriously good food. As it turns out, the establishment is owned and run by a French family, which explains the authentic and delicious patisseries that were a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The atmosphere in the cafe was simply delightful, and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care had gone into creating a welcoming and cosy environment. Our family had the pleasure of trying the Brie bacon crepes and they were an absolute hit. Be warned, however, that these crepes aren't always on the menu during quiet periods, so it might be best to call ahead if you're set on giving them a try. I found the prices very reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and service. Speaking of the service, the staff were amazing; they were always on hand to help and they were generally very happy and friendly. The only drawback that I can see is that the coffee wasn't really to my liking, but I know that everyone has different tastes when it comes to coffee. All in all, I have to say that I was surprised by just how enjoyable my experience was at this cafe. There's really nothing to fault; it's clear that the owners have put a lot of love and care into creating a wonderful dining experience for guests.

Wonderful. Such friendly and helpful staff. I stopped by with my daughter when it was very busy but they still offered us a little table for 2 which was lucky and very kind considering how busy they were. Attentive staff, lovely menu. We had crepes and drinks. Can't fault it, really well made and the coffee was excellent. Beautiful room, the doors to the park left open which was lovely to watch the rain as we had our hot drinks. We will absolutely be back to try the savoury menu, I definitely advise you to book ahead as it's understandably busy there :)

Fantastic food and great service. The daily specials board offered a great choice alongside the French menu. We’ll definitely be back

Really enjoyed my lunch made with quality ingredients, shows the chef cares about customer experience. The staff are very accommodating and courteous. This restaurant stands out and it’s a lovely place to dine when you visit Bideford with the added bonus of a very interesting art gallery and shop.

Without doubt the best baguette, I have ever tasted! Smoked mackerel and cucumber. Stunningly delicious. Lovely atmosphere, good service and reasonably priced.

Authentic french cuisine - do recommend the croque monsieur. Eat a light breakfast - trust me you'll want something sweet to pair with the coffee for afters. Staff are lovely and the cafe is fully up to date with Covid regulations. There are tables to sit inside and out to watch the world go by on a lazy afternoon.

Fantastic lunch here today. Turned up on spec with no booking, was very busy but still got a table. The savoury crepes were amazing, would definitely recommend. They advised us when ordering there would be a wait for food given how busy it was, but we had only a short wait and food was well worth it.

A very pleasant place to stop and have a coffee or a bite to eat. It gets busy so be patient, it's worth it.

Visited here for the first time in January 2023 and have just paid a second visit. Will definitely be making regular visits here. Wonderful atmosphere with a real buzz and food is very well presented, but more importantly.... totally delicious. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A great experience - thankyou.

Went for Mexican night with friends. It was brilliant. Food, service and atmosphere. Also went for coffee and cake yesterday. Again, lovely. Possibly the nicest place for a coffee and cake in Bideford.

French chef owned, great food, nicely cooked. Not a large place be best to book a table before you go for a meal, but customers have gone in for just a coffee and something to eat. Pot luck if an empty table is available.

Authentic french galette and crêpes. Great for gluten free as galettes are made from buck wheat plus they have a selection of gluten free cakes. Not the cheapest but very good quality.

Amazing authentic café, delicious fresh foods and coffee well worth the price. Super friendly and bubbly staff, always make you feel welcome. I’ve been to a few other cafes in the area and would pick this one over them any day.
