What a treat! A lovely atmosphere and warm welcome, simple menu so not overwhelming. Absolutely delicious food, hands down the nicest I've had in a long time. Portion sizes were perfect. A very relaxed environment and love the decor. All the staff were professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you for a fantastic Saturday afternoon.

Very good meal out with Mrs B and our 3 Boys. Excellent children’s portion sizes. Our boys are good eaters so no worries about them being hungry afterwards. Chef was happy to have the boys pop into the kitchen and see the action. Quality of food very good. We are lucky to have this place on our doorstep. Always a pleasure to have a meal here.

Third visit to this gem of a pub for Sunday lunch and again did not disappoint - cracking menu and friendly, attentive staff who, when asked what red wine would be best with the roast beef, absolutely nailed it! It's these details that will always keep myself and friends coming back - Always a great friendly atmosphere and very family orientated which is great to see. Thank you again and see you soon!!

Lovely meal, excellent service but seated near the kitchen & kitchen extractor fans could be better !Windows & doors had to be opened at one point, glad it wasn't the middle of Winter ! The waitress was so helpful when I wanted to purchase a cookery book, finding a new copy & wrapping it for me.

We decided to try out Fish Fryday (12.95 for fish and chips and a pint on a Friday night). The fish was absolutely delicious, and so fresh, and there was a great choice of beers, but the batter was definitely the main event. It's to die for! Beautiful decor, lovely staff, pleasant environment. We will be back. Maybe try steak night next......

I might be a bit biased as my son is the head chef. But it takes more than him to make the kentish hare a truly stunning place to eat. All the staff are fantastic making the service truly great. Beautiful surroundings and lovely In the garden on a sunny day drinking iced cold beer or wine. Wish I lived close enough to be here every day

Been here twice now after a recommendation. The restaurant is very light and airy. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly staff and the most amazing food both times. A definite restaurant we will return to again and again and I would highly recommend it to others.

Very solid food. Everything we had was really good! If I would have any complaint is that the portion is fairly small for the price. The 4 of us ended spending 300 pound , for a starter. Main and dessert each and 3 glasses of wines.

Saw this recommendation on the Michelin website as a Bib Gourmand. High quality food at a cheaper price point than a Michelin Star. We went for a Sunday Lunch. Place was very busy and we booked online a while in advance to secure a spot. Walk-ins are welcome but at busy periods you might be disappointed in not getting a seat. Decor and atmosphere were very nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice and cosy pub. Of course, the food was excellent. We had 1 minor issue with a hair in one of our starters which is why I rated it 4 stars. Stuff like this happens even in the best of places. I would go back as I think this is a one off. Apart from that, everything was great. Portion sizes for the roast were generous and the side of veg was huge. The quality of the food is amazing, everything is fresh and flavourful. You can really tell that they use high quality ingredients to get started. Plating is very pretty too if you are into that. We paid £40 per person for a 3 course Sunday lunch. After drinks and service charge it was just over £210 for a group of 4.

The best pub lunch we’ve had for a while. Great atmosphere whether you want to sit out in the fresh air or inside for those wintery days. Wish this was our local.

Good food, great service, but not perfect! We booked and chose the lunchtime three course set menu. We were greeted immediately by a warm welcome and seated immediately in a clean, pleasant restaurant. The waitress was quick to serve with a smile . Food was generally good, and some exceptional- the beetroot and goats cheese tartlett was amazing; however, the braised shin beef ragu was a disappointment and felt heavy with not much depth of flavour. The fish croquettes were too salty as was the Cornish pollack. The buttermilk panacotta was superb, but the sticky toffee pudding was very average and had the texture of sponge cake with very little richness or texture. I'm glad I went, but was it worth £112 for two of us (Inc 2 glasses of wine) I'm not sure.

This was the first time we ate here and it was superb. It's not 'huge' portions because it's Masterchef quality. You can have snacks, starter, mains, pudding & coffee without feeling bloated and great value for money. Lovely staff and enough of them so that service is exemplary. There were four of us and we all agreed it was a great experience and we are coming back.

Went for a Sunday Roast. Food was absolutely banging. Three course meal for 40 quid. Can’t beat it. Will be going back.

Came here for Sunday Roast - the beef was perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious, too 🤩 Wasn't a big fan of the starters however, the ceviche and tuna could have been a bit more exciting. The Isle of Wight tomatoes and the 🍋 posset were delicious though, so overall a good experience.
