I wandered over to this Greene King Pub from the chaos of Bicester village as i wanted to sit and have a proper lunch.
When I visited at about 2 pm, it was nice and quiet, and there was plenty of seating inside and out available.
I chose scampi and chips, which was £9.49 and was nice and a sensible size portion. Decided to have desert and chose the Eton Mess, which was lovely 😍
Service was quick and friendly.
The only downsides were that the coffee machine was apparently broken and the men's toilets smelled from a noticeable leak.
It was definitely worth the 5 minute walk from Bicester Village 😁
Good value for money, unlike those restaurants in Bicester village which charge a premium price.
If you drive into the restaurant car park, remember to register your car in the bar/counter.
I had the fish and chips. The fish was massive and lovely. The chips were nice. I rated the fish 9 out of 10, and the chips 6 out of ten were a bit cold, but overall, it was great 8.5 out of 10. I would also like to mention that the loos were lovely and clean. A big thanks to the man who let me keep a wooden spoon. Overall, it was a lovely experience ☺️ 😊
I must say, this Pub is highly recommended to everyone visiting Bicester Village. The atmosphere is extremely warm and welcoming. Approximately 5mins walk from the shopping place.
We came with two children who were accommodated with ease with high chair available.
The food is cheap and delicious. We went for Steak and Ribs and we are so happy that we been to this restaurant rather than the overpriced restaurant in Bicester Village Shopping.
Definitely must visit and have some food here.

It was pretty good ...the beer and spirit selection is good.. the staff was helpful and pleasant.
Great food. Schnitzel special was very tasty. Enjoyable place to have a drink and watch the world cup.
Lovely food, I'd argue the menu isn't for fussy eaters, but everything was very tasty. Easy enough to get parked and seated without a booking, the garlic bread was more rosemary than anything so something to bare in mind (I'm a fussy eater myself)
Popped in for lunch after an unsuccessful shopping trip to Bicester Village, husband had the Katsu curry and I had the fish and chips, unbelievable value as they were included in the two for £14.45 pub classics deal, daughter had the Beef and Ale pie with mash. We each whole heartedly agreed that the meals were excellent in both taste, quantity and quality, my fish was overhanging the plate. Staff were welcoming and professional. Would highly recommend.
Oh, a super place to have a meal during your shopping spree.
At 1pm all of the restaurants at bicester were lining up with tired and hungry shoppers. We had a choice of heading across the road to burger king and was in our way when we found a pretty hut 🛖 in the corner of our eye. Gold!
We called and found out there was space and had a lovely lunch in the spacious pub next to a group of very happy regulars. Service is great, portions big.
We ordered a 2x pub lunch for a good deal sth like £14, forget the exact amount. The menu was huge and we were interested in many of the choices. I had the baked chicken while she had good old fashioned fish and chips. The environment was relaxing and spacious enough for us to house our POW from shopping.
I think we will head straight here next time. And we will definitely go to bicester village again next time we visit London.
Very good food, very friendly staff, no need to pay for parking, just enter your reg on the tablet on the bar. Only issue is that the cutlery seemed to be dirty, which was resolved by staff when raised.

Only gave 3 for atmosphere as we were dining after lunch time and was quiet.
The manager is great can hold a tune and was very quick whitted Wish we lived nearer to dine in an evening.
Avoid the loos if you can, though. Only thing that let it down.
Called in on the off chance on a Sunday evening & have to say we were made very welcome by the barstaff.
Once seated the manager came out to see us, he was a lovely bloke & I had alot in common with him with him being a fellow welshie
Food was hot & well worth the money.
My partner had the pie with plenty of meat & I had the salmon fish cakes which was packed with plenty of salmon.
Will definitely be going back, as want to try the hunters chicken

The new management has made this pub so welcoming and Jacob is amazing and so down to earth!!
Also came here with my nieces and Jacob was nothing but amazing with them and they both had the best time!
Food was great and so was the service!! Highly recommend for anyone who is passing by or is local 😌
Came here for the first time for lunch with a friend and was blown away by the wonderful atmosphere! I didn’t catch the servers name but they were so helpful with advice with my allergies and we didn’t feel an inconvenience for a moment as we often do when eating out as I can only eat certain things. The bar staff were fast and efficient and the food was hot fresh and delicious. We asked if we could speak to the manager to say thank you for a lovely afternoon and she took the time to come over and say hello and was so pleasant to talk to. The food area was lovely and clean and even though it was quite busy the staff seemed to be very happy and in control. I’ve had the best day out that I’ve had for a long time - I’ll definitely be revisiting soon and will be bringing my family!
