We came for dinner on a Saturday and all tables were booked in the main hall however they managed to accommodate us in the other room where people were watching football. Luckily, the game was over soon, so it wasn't that loud anymore. The atmosphere was nothing special but the staff was very friend
We popped in without a booking for supper and had a fabulous meal. The restaurant was busy but the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly and the food was served in good time with a smile. The food was simple pub grub but perfectly cooked and obviously using high quality ingredients cooked
Popped in for lunch, after I had seen a recommendation on the Hand Luggage Only site. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we never had any room left for the sticky toffee pudding that was lauded on the above website.
Great experience! Restaurant is very good.
For dinner we had trout (wow) and the buttermilk chicken that was superb! Good beet and wine menu. Great service. We really enjoyed our dinner on our vacation from the USA. Thank you ❣️
Stopped for a meal today with my daughter, had sausage and mash £17 which I thought was a bit steep for 2 sausages but they were nice maybe a little over done or possibly reheated. The mash and veg was substantial and I did enjoy the meal. The young lady with light brown hair served us she was reall
We had 5 starters as was told that mains would take a while due pub being quite busy. The service was great, met by a friendly waitress and readily answered any questions we had.
The food was freshly cooked so was nice and hot. The white bait and smoked trout with caesar salad was exceptional!
The food and hospitality here is amazing. The Catherine Wheel has a pleasant restaurant with a nice garden where you are able to sit.
A special thanks to Joanne, with your attentive help we were able to get to a bicycle repairman and fix our bike. We will not forget your hospitality!
After enjoying a delightful lunch at The Catherine Wheel, my partner and I, accompanied by our two furry friends, were pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff's friendliness and welcoming demeanor truly added to our experience. Moreover, the service was impeccable, and th
I don’t understand the bad reviews on service and food. It was an amazing experience for us. From the mains to the dessert. We had the trout and a pizza, as well as the wonderful and lovely sticky dead pudding!
Service was just class!

We had the Sunday roast, both the beef and the pork 😋 delicious! Friendly service and just the warm welcome We were looking for.
Busy on a hot Saturday June afternoon. Had a filling baguette sandwiche that came with chips & salad. Other hot food available which we didn't try, but the fish looked excellent...fresh from the nearby trout farm perhaps? Good atmosphere, period cotswold charm. Plenty of seating in garden.
The lunch food that we had was fine and hearty particularly my steak and ale pie. Guess that you could say that the place has rustic charm.
Had a wonderful dinner here! Food was excellent and service was as well! Gluten free options were appreciated!
What a lovely little gem of a pub!!! It had a good selection of drinks and was very busy when we arrived. We managed to bag a table, but you need to get here early I think at the weekend.
There was a very good clientele who were all very polite. This is definitely a good family pub.
