Visited after a meal on a Saturday night, wanting to carry on with some music and dancing. Nearby hostelries were packed as they attract a younger, noisier crowd and we left one of them just as a couple of grown men had started a fight. The Railway had plenty of seating available plus a live singer
Not been in here for about 20yrs and have to admit that I was surprised at how lovely and fun it was. The village has several pubs to choose from but The Railway will now be my first stop. Live music, good beer, great atmosphere, and a man selling fish off a board; what more could a pub offer?
Review of The Railway Tavern, Bexley Village. Me and wife went there for the first time, on a Sunday night in March 2022 - having heard they had karaoke. Arrived about 7.30 and it wasn't very busy so we got high chairs at the bar. DJ Duncan was already set up on a stage in the corner; he does a regu
Great place to go to for a Sunday drink background music. Very decorative interior with pictures of trains and classic platform signs for the toilets. Very amusing 🙂
Pop in for a couple of drinks and and enjoy the back ground music thank you Barry and Laura see you next time very nice pub 😀 👍
Although I only use this pub during the day it is a nice relaxing place without the usual frills and spills of other pubs, good clean beer and friendly staff with the usual eclectic mix of afternoon punters, for the village it has competitive prices.
Great friendly pub, great live music, fab staff
Don't do food but fine that we took in pies from nearby bakery. Good traditional pub with very good prices.
Great night out with the shambolicks band playing. Staff very friendly. May be too many let in on the night a bit crowded.
A good no frills local pub. Courage Best usually well kept and reasonably priced.
The Railway Tavern definitely feels like an old fashioned pub, in the middle of Bexley. Small, in a comfortable way, although there's not much seating. Lots of events, and karaoke night sounds like it would be great fun, as well as the many gigs that are often advertised.
Lovely pub visited Fri evening. Quite busy and with a great atmosphere of people enjoying themselves. So impressed with the bar staff, because there was many, so professional and I was served each time unbelievable quick. Great service. Live band made a great evening.
All the staff are nice, it is a Pub so it does not do food apart from Crisps and Nuts etc.
Live band on a Friday and Karaoke on Sundays.
The Railway Tavern is a traditional no frills pub with friendly bar staff and the usual range of beer and spirits.
We received a very warm welcome. Good choice of drinks and they have live music at the weekend.
My fiend and I went to this pub in September absolutely loved it very friendly staff were fantastic no trouble. Live bands on a weekend would definitely I rely recommend this place
5 of us visited this pub on Saturday 11th September 2021 and have to say what a great pub. The 2 girls behind the bar really made us welcome and their attitude towards the customers was excellent and I would definitely recommend this place.
