What a beautiful place to have a meal, very pretty atmosphere with the contrast of bare bricks and exposed wooden beams. We were welcomed without registration, restaurant was quite busy. Service was one of the best in comparison to the other places I have visited. Our host was Lucy, she truly made the whole experience great, very attentive and proffesional. And the steaks were cooked to perfection 🥰 would love to come back again.
There is a garden next to it for a nice stroll before or after the meal 🌷🌼🌺
A great place for a family dinner and a Birthday celebration. The starters were delicious - the baked cheddar mushrooms, salt and pepper calamari and the spiced aubergine boa buns were the items I tried and were very tasty. I want to give a particular shout to the halloumi fries. I would highly recommend them - very crispy.
For the mains, they were also great. Chips were flavoursome and the camembert mash was smooth and buttery. My only issue was that mine and another family members steak cooking levels were mixed up. I requested for a 12oz MEDIUM WELL steak and the other member requested a 16oz MEDIUM RARE steak however, I got a 12oz medium rare and the other member got a 16oz medium well. Since it was too rare for me we did have to swap. But the steak was tender and the peppercorn sauce complimented it perfectly.
The first waitress that served us was OK, she seemed quite annoyed, but then they got changed (I assumed due to an incident that occurred with a window getting smashed due to the extreme winds yesterday) and the second waitress which I didn't catch the name of was much more welcoming and had excellent customer service skills!
Other than that, I have no complaints about this restaurant. The area is very beautiful with a lovely garden right next to the restaurant to stroll in. The parking area is massive so no issues there.
Initial drinks service was a little slow, but other than that, all very good. Steak was a very good size and cooked well. Particularly recommended the mac & cheese as a side. Good value for money overall and shout out to our server Jacqui who was cheerful and helpful throughout the meal - even joining in with singing Happy Birthday!
We pre booked, it wasnt busy. A serviette was missing from our table, it took a while for our drinks to arrive. Starters were lovely, but the Avocado and prawn salad had 3 very small pieces of Avocado in one-and None in the other!!! The baked camenbert sharer could do with more bread-we weren't even asked if we would like more!!! We weren't asked if we'd like any more drinks either! There weren't finger bowls provided for the sticky bbq ribs.
The salmon was good, but some of the potatoes were hard 🤔 and certainly not worth the money 😔
Overall 3½/5
Excellent food and place to share with family. I recommend as starters Nachos House, Ribeye Steak, baby potatoes, diane souse, really delicious... The staff is very friendly!!!
Stunning converted tudor barn with traditional wooden beams, set in a country park with ample parking. Lunch time menu till 5pm for less than £20 for 3 courses that include steak and Ribs with no extra supplement charge. Attentive waiting team, friendly and generally bloody nice. Lovely atmosphere and highly recommended restaurant. 5 stars
We went for a late lunch to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was quiet so conversation was easy. The waitress was very helpful in ensuring my dietary requirements were met and the food was outstanding. Staff were polite and accommodating. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to family and friends.
Excellent food and great service. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
It is a bit pricy but is quality worth it.
We visited as it was our 36th wedding anniversary. We have been before, but my wife usually books. We had a great meal and the service was very good. I said to my wife after our meal that there wasn’t anything about the experience that I disliked and she agreed.
nice place, delicious food. only on the conservatory, there were a lot of flies that interfered with dinner
My partner and I had a great experience here at the weekend! Thank you so much Katie and Emily for being so friendly and welcoming. Service was fast, and due to the heat we were given ice cold water straight away which was so appreciated. We got the butchers block sharing platter and would highly recommend it. Would definitely come back again!
Visited for date night dinner and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and Helen’s service was fantastic with lots of recommendations and her super friendly and welcoming vibe. She looked after us all night and it would be a pleasure to be served by her again if we return :)
The entrance notifies customers with a welcome to ensure they are dressed appropriately. This sets the tone to expect fine dining. The front of the house provides a warm welcome as you are seated at your table. The decor is dark wood with an intimate setting. The carpet feels out of place and the lack of air conditioning can make the place very warm on a hot day. You are given a personal server that interchanges with the other staff. The customer service is excellent and you feel cared for in your dining. The drink specials provide great cocktails on a 2 for £14 offer. The steak is cooked well and flavoursome. The sides provided are a good accompaniment, but the fries are a surprising let-down. The fries were tired looking and not well-seasoned. The biscuit torte for dessert was devilishly good. The prices are reasonable. Overall it is a wonderful dining experience that needs a few tweaks to be five-star.
Wonderfully chill and beautiful, with delicious food and fast service! I had the surf and turf which was cooked to rare perfection. Finally, our server Paulina made our night!! She was such a ray of sunshine and gave amazing service, she was chatty, bubbly and funny. Thank you so much for making my birthday meal amazing for me Paulina!! x
Overall an excellent visit. The setting's great and the food was faultless, especially my steak. Our waitress was helpful and attentive, the only minor nit picks are that it took a little while to seat us and it took sometime to pay (we had to ask twice). This didn't detract from the evening and we had a great time.
Good food , good atmosphere. My adult daughter wanted to reserve a table for 15 adults for a birthday meal at the end of November but this was not possible - we were told that near Christmas the maximum table size is less as the kitchen couldn’t cope.
The manageress did offer to reserve a large table at Dartford Miller and Carter.
