A great family walk. Jacob’s ladder is or can be hard going for anyone who doesn’t like steep steps. Plenty to explore and wildlife galore
We went for the most beautiful walk around habberley valley yesterday. Even tho its midwinter, the morning sun was shining bright & our thermals protected us from the near freezing temperatures. It's definitely worth seeing & we will certainly return. The large sandstone was just waiting for me to climb, the views were fantastic & I felt as tho I was on top of the world. Be careful tho as it's very steep!
Habberley Valley is very close to my heart, as I have visited it many times all through my life, including band photoshoots, filming music videos, friends/family walks and for little ambles round on a nice day.
The sandstone rock hills provide picturesque views and you can quickly ride down on bikes from the joining road, Low Habberley AKA "Jacob's Ladder".
This a lovely walk in any season. There is a free car park a short distance into the valley along the only road in and out of the valley.
Lovely place for a walk. A favourite with dog walkers.
Lovely quiet nature reserve. Easy walks with lots of opportunities to clamber and climb trees, or steep rocks/cliffs for the more adventurous. Nice picnic areas and free parking.

Took my 91yr old dad he thought it was stunning, parked him up with his paper while enjoyed walking the dogs,
I cannot sing the praises of this natural place enough. Shame about the dog owners who don't clean up their mess. Wonderful cafe with great prices on ices and drinks.
I've been coming to Habberley Valley for 35 years. I spent a happy summer check surveying and updating the orienteering map. Its a great place for a walk or run. Woods could benefit from a bit of management and holly removal.
Small free car park. Lovely area to walk around. Large sandstone rocks that you can climb on
Lovely place to have and walk and let the kids run if sone steam, very clean and quiet at aroubd 4pm
Ideal place if you want to relax your mind in the while you are surrounded by nature.
Great local spot for all to enjoy the joy of nature
What a find ! so friendly both owners and local visitors who use it as a social get together which is good . Dogs are at the forefront and our Dalmatian settled down to this . Food and drinks are great prices and very nice . please support this Cafe /visitor centre whilst you are enjoying walking round there.
A beautiful setting for a good walk. We'll maintained area. Lots of dog walkers. Nice, small cafe for coffee, cake, toasties...
Very friendly service, nice and cheap too. Definitely worth a visit, there is a small toilet provided for customers and even water for the dogs. The walks around this place are beautiful.
Lovely walks, plenty of car parking and now with the added amenity of the cafe which sells a really good range of cakes, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks all very reasonably priced, coffee and tea at a £1 a cup. We had a tea,a coffee and a cheese cob for £4. All was really lovely.
Pleasant and safe area to walk your dog off lead . Not a overly long walk but great for meeting other dogs and owners . Ideal for doggie socializing .
Doesn't get too muddy in wet weather . Good sized free parking area
