What a little gem this place is.
Visited last night with my husband and had a lovely evening. The restaurant itself is lovely and cosy, fab music playing on a little record player, open kitchen,lovely staff and fabulous wine-what more could you want...?
The food was divine and the staff took their time to suggest dishes and explain the menu. Would highly recommend visiting- you certainly won’t be disappointed!

I had a meal with my family last weekend at the Pig&Whistle and we loved it! The food was amazing, the wine fantastic and the staff was really nice. I tottaly recommend it!
This is definitely my new favourite place to be in Beverley...whether it is to have a coffee, a glass of wine or some food, it is simply amazing! Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff, just perfect! :)

Glad we did food is top class and service excellent, only slight downside is wine/beer very expensive. Overall fantastic, impressed my sister visiting from Paris, especially the taste in vinyl!!
Great fun, helpful attentive staff and the food and wine were great fun to explore - especially the rose. There's an extensive wine list to browse through and nearly all are available by the glass. A neat idea in a small venue but a big atmosphere. Well done to everyone involved.

Went here on Thursday for date night. We were worried on first look of the menu that we might struggle to find something to eat, but my goodness, we had three plates to share after some olives and beer sticks and it was simply divine. The waiter was really helpful and advised us when we weren't sure. If you love excellent charcuterie and fresh ingredients, you must try it. Something different and welcome for Beverley.
Myself and two friends had a fabulous lunch yesterday, one of the ladies had never visited before but has commented she will be back as she loved it! Another super day - thanks to the staff for their helpfulness (Amy surprised us with our cheese and meat selection!) and of course the amazing wine and other food choices - see you soon!
Small but we were able to get a table and had not booked on a Saturday evening. Excellent food with enough choice to make it interesting. Loved the fact that we could choose our cheese and meats or let the chef do it. Would thoroughly recommend.
Pig & Whistle - words cannot express how much we love thee. You are like a perfect Parisian neighbourhood bistro. In Beverley. However whereas the Parisian bistro has slightly terrifying, French speaking waiters you have jolly lovely staff who are helpful, knowledge and unobtrusive. Simple, clever, seasonal food in a chic setting. Utterly perfect. Don't change a thing.
First visit this evening and couldn't recommend more! Food and wine both excellent!!!

Great tartiflette with a lovely glass of Hattingley valley sparkling wine. Balance of flavours in a relaxing atmosphere filled with soul music.
Best meal I've had in Beverley for sure. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, as well as being attentive. The tables are a bit closer together than I would have liked so it feels a bit claustrophobic at times. However, this definitely added to the cosy feel that the place already has. The walls are packed with interesting things to look at.
The food was incredible, a very high standard of dining. The flavours were delicate and balanced well. The chefs talent really shines through the dishes. The star of the show for me was the stuffed baby squid. There is a heavy Spanish/Canarian influence, executed very well. Overall a great meal and well worth the price.
Excellent charcuterie and a personal service. Food and service was great. It can be tricky to know what to order from the menu but the staff are very helpful and you can pick and choose between dishes. Would highly recommend for a meal out.
Stunning food and wines, impeccable service. A little gem
Terrific taste of Spain in a Northern town. Very faithful looking establishment, lots or care and attention to detail here, it really is excellent! Thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful staff, ten out of ten to the chefs though. Prawns perfect, flavoursome and zesty carrot salad was great, amazing patatas bravas and chickpea sides, very decent steak but the star for me was the lamb shish and hummus. Wow. Desserts looked great but I was too full!
Some great wines on the menu and very well done cocktails - I can recommend the Old Fashioned, one of the best I've ever had, and the tasty Negroni, also terrific. Lovely friendly environment to eat dinner in too, I'm totally sold. Everyone should try this place!
Amazing food, drink and atmosphere. It was great to sit at the bar and watch what the head chef could produce from such a small space! Everything that came out looked amazing and our charcuterie and cheese board (there were hot meals on the menu, but we didn’t have time) was unbelievable and everything was of the highest quality. Can’t wait to go back.

We went for an anniversary meal, so we had a little more to spend. We had the tapas menu with a few additions and a selection of drinks.
There’s a snack menu, with the best focaccia and oil I’ve ever had, we had a few meals from the specials list, but mostly from the weekday Tapas menu. We even shared the chocolate mousse with boozy cherries. That was incredible!
The snack menu can be had for a lower price and it’s delicious and varied. The selection of drinks is wonderful and the service is amazing. My partner had some dietary specifics and the team couldn’t have been more helpful.
We’ll definitely be back!
This was our first time to the Pig & Whistle. The staff were really helpful and attentive without being overbearing. For a starter, the prawns and pot croqs were really good, in fact they were excellent, the black pudding and chorizo were very tasty but would have benefited from a sauce and better presentation, I wouldn’t order them again. The mains were tasty, we had the tartiflette with charcuterie and a lobster tail cocktail, both tasty. Churros for pudding and what I’m told was an amazing hot chocolatier rounded the meal off nicely. I would definitely go back as the cheese boards that were coming out of the kitchen looked amazing
Food lovely and really well executed...service quietly attentive. A little Gem for Beverley and hope the people of East Yorkshire support it! Will be paying a visit each time I am.back up North x
Great food and team, would highly recommend
Visited most recently with a friend to celebrate my birthday. We ate the dipping camembert a selection of tapas dishes, oysters and steaks - everything was delicious, full of flavour and cooked/prepared to perfection. We wanted a particular dish each that wasn't on the menu at this point, but the owner/chef was incredibly accommodating and cooked it up for us, this level of service is so rare but was definitely really appreciated. The food, as always, was exceptional and the service was second to none! Great live music too! I'll never stop recommending this place!
Wonderful food (all vegetarian, no issue and loads of choice!) and fantastic atmosphere! Service was faultless and lovely super clean restaurant - will be going back!
Had lunch here twice in the last month and both times it’s been excellent, it’s a lovely place to spend a Saturday afternoon. The platters are delicious and the tapas is really great. We will definitely be returning for more yummy food and wine, just wish we lived a little closer!
Very tasty tapas menu. Visited here today with family for our Birthday celebrations. We had the full tapas spread. The food was quick to come out, tasted excellent and had a wide variety of food tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy. I would return here again and I would recommend to friends and family.
Beautiful selection of great tasting food. The interesting and tempting spread made choosing from the menu very hard, but I wasn't at all disappointed in my selection. I just wish I had more room to try more! Complete with a great alcohol selection, including wine-by-the-glass recommendations from the staff. Looking forward to going again.
Says: I cannot stress how outstanding this place really is. 5 stars is not enough. This place is amazing. 5 times I've been with the wife and we've really enjoyed it each time. We've never ever had a bad meal or drink there. I'm a veggie, my wife isn't and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to meet and well exceed our catering requirements. Their menu is just awesome. It's so good we've taken friends and family there and recommended it as the place to eat in Beverley to everyone we know. Friendly staff, amazing atmosphere, awesome food and beverages and they play original and rare old records that are the soundtrack of your youth while you dine. Seriously, you haven't lived till you've dined here. They just beat anything else hands down. Treat yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. We can't wait for our next visit - "The Dude Who Eats All The Pickles..."
