Went in last Saturday to watch the FA Cup Semi Final and have a few beers. Having watched the staff bringing the food orders out from the kitchen all of which really looked delicious by the way. We decided to try some for ourselves, we both got an extremely large double beefburger with a brisket topping and cheese and salad with chips. All I can say is that it was the best burger we have ever had and so mouth watering. We will defiantly be coming back again and can recommend the food to anyone to try for themselves. The pub has really improved since the new landlord has taken over and the refurbishment has helped to.
we enjoyed our visit to the Green Dragon pub the food was excellent & the staff very helpful we will definitely be goin again when we are up visiting i would say to give the breakfast a try great value for the amout of food you are served & cooked to perfection as was all the food that we had spot on
I think the new look of this pub in Beverley is a bit more better I think first time back in here since it got refurbished a couple of weeks back been in here a few times before it got refurbished but it’s miles better than what it was before. It’s better that there is an added addition to the food menu of pizzas not tried them in here yet but definitely have to try one of those pizzas here sometime when I get the chance.
Excellent food served by excellent staff especially by Rebecca who looked after us admirably . Highly recommend the chicken wings and chorizo sausage
Green dragon is a brilliant pub got lots of history and character. Friendly attentive staff. Amy and Ria r 2 lovely members of staff...my parents (liz and les) come regularly 2 the pub and both those girls r always friendly and welcoming. Foods always good. Never waiting long for it 2 arrive either. Theres lots of good choice of ales. Plenty of room if you hav young children or babies for prams etc. And nice outdoor space. Very cosy at this time of year with all the Christmas lights and festive spirit get uself down 2 green dragon if ur looking for a good spot 2 b in Beverly!! 10 out of 10 xx
Popped in for a breakfast with my mum Saturday morning. Beautifully cooked breakfast...nice and hot....tasty and good value for money :)! Would recommend...will be returning!
Been heading here on and off since 1973! Great place for a scoop then and a great place now.
Fabulous refurbishment and food was excellent. Such a shame San Miguel isn't on draft! New staff were really friendly too.
2nd time weve been into this pub. Meals are great value and also tasty and plentiful. Pub decoration is great and good service. Beer garden looks great but always full when we arrive so have yet to try this. Will be back next time we come into Beverley.
Great beer garden xx would definitely recommend XX
Myself & husband really enjoyed our meal here tonight. I had the smothered chicken & husband had the fiery burger. The food was hot when it got to the table, service was quick & the food was very tasty. We're looking forward to going back, already know what we're having next time.......pizza for me & the mixed grill for husband. The pub was clean & nicely decorated. We would both definitely recommend anyone giving the Green Dragon a try, you won't be disappointed 😊
What an old style friendly pub, great food at fantastic price's. Staff always friendly with cracking selection of beers with sport on for every taste. Highly recommend for both food and drinks and the breakfast menu is top class. I live in Beverley and gets my number 1 vote as the best pub in town. Also dog friendly, bonus👍
The Green Dragon in Saturday market is an excellent pub. There is a good selection of beers and lagers including a few cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, the real ales they had on when I visited were all in excellent condition. Although it doesn't look big from the outside the pub goes back a long way, it's a large pub but quite cozy. The staff are friendly and the food is good. There is also an outside seating area for summer.
Was alovely place, table was sticky though and alot of loud noisy drunk lads in the afternoon. But enjoyed it. Food was quick and tasty.
Excellent bar with high quality & budget friendly food. The staff are always friendly and the food is excellent considering the prices. Atmosphere is lovely too. Perfect in the afternoon for lunch and equally great for a date or night with friends.
Have visited twice for food and a drink. Meals on both occasions were very good - freshly cooked, hot and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and the service was good, with the final bill being good value for money. Will be staying in the area for a while and will come back regularly. I scored it four stars but wanted to score it 4.5 stars.
Such a quaint little place, food was great and the staff were so pleasant. The bonus is that it is dog friendly! Our little pooch was a bit cheeky and sat on the seats! Staff offered water for him and were always on hand to help. They accommodated an awkward request of mine to take home a pudding and even told me the cooking instructions! We had the Texan Burger, Hawaiian Pizza, some Battered Onion Rings (and the take away Chocolate Orange Torte) and all was spot on perfect. Definitely recommend.
Quaint, old pub serving a good selection of food. Dog friendly, which is always a bonus for those of us who take our pooches away on holiday. We had the fish and chips, which were delicious due to the fact that the fish was fresh and in an ale batter. Scrumptious and a welcome change from the usual offering from some establishments i.e. frozen and in a cardboard box.
Lovely Beverley center pub. Dog friendly and with a beer garden. Great food and good selection of real ales. However when it's busy expect a wait for your food
Great service from local staff who take the time to get to know you. Very friendly & professional staff lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly.
Would highly recommend for food or just drinks
Visited this afternoon, ordered food off the 2 for £10.50 menu expecting a small portion, no way, fish chip mushy peas and tartar sauce, as big a portion as you would from any fish shop. My wife had chicken fillet burger, full breast fillet, both good quality and great value and a good selection of beers. Definitely will be returning.
Had a lovely meal here, very reasonably priced too.
Dog friendly which is a huge plus point.
Called in for a quick bite to eat, a very popular venue, and offer a good range of food. Ordered Tuna Panini and a sourdough pizza. Both came well presented. Fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. Staff were great.
This is a lovely pub not too busy at all, the staff are friendly and serve you quickly so you aren't waiting around. The food tastes great and the prices are very reasonable, I have eaten here twice and never been disappointed. I totally recommend this place for a great place to eat and socialise with friends and family.
Used to be a regular haunt for husband in the early days. Last time we visited Beverley we popped in for a beer but as we only drink Real Ale there was nothing we liked but this time there was Oakham Citra on so happy days. It was very busy being a Friday lunchtime. We decided to have food but only something small so opted for the 2 for 10.50 deal not expecting much. It was really good. Hubby had gammon and was most impressed. I had the sausage and mash which even came with veg. They were three good sized sausages as well. It filled us up. Planning another visit with friends in March. Thanks to the waitress who was rushed off her feet. She was doing a great job.
The prices and choices for both food and drink were cheap and plentiful. The staff were friendly. However, there were only a few cocktails and sadly, the best one - espresso martini did not have half the ingredients so couldnt have it. Surprised that stocks would be allowed to run low. Also was charged £20 extra on our debit card which had been held on account for a table. Had to come back next day to sort a refund as this should not have been taken as we had already paid. Still had a lovely afternoon though and the bottle of rose we had was lovely and very cheap
Very full pub, but it had a great atmosphere. Also, a very good selection of drinks on tap. Which seems to be disappearing nowadays in other establishments. I didn't try the food so can't comment on that.
Really enjoyed ourselves in there.
Breakfast is very good value for money, just not keen on sage in the sausages , everything else gets top marks.
Thougherly enjoyed the fish and chips with mushy peas. Chips were the skinny type, I prefer fatter chips but the price was only £10.50 for two people so I've got absolutely no room to grumble. Overhaul great, I will be going again also great range of drinks.
