Went there Tuesday night. There were 6 of us, for a family meal. Food was great, service was friendly and a lovely chilled atmosphere. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Would definitely go there again as we all enjoyed it.
We ordered some of the halloumi chips (yummy), dough balls and onion rings and asked if we could have them out as starters (there are no starters on the menu) the guys at the bar were super friendly and organised this for us.
Main courses were a mixture of burgers and pizzas...all delicious. One of our party is gluten intolerant and it was great to see a gluten free bun option...it was actually a gluten free bagel and was fantastic! I can't really fault the place at all.
Great place for food and drinks. Staff very friendly and always busy with a great atmosphere. Live music on a weekend too. Will recommend to all my friends
Went into the potting shed on sat 27/01/18 as a family of five. the food and service was fantastic we felt so relaxed and the atmosphere was fantastic.our waitress was LIZ who can only be a assett to this place she was polite friendly and very caring towards customers.we will return..
Had my wedding do here last night and it was amazing. The amount of effort the staff put in to make our day special was outstanding. Thank you all so much, your pizzas really are the best..
Natalie and all the team ... made our day so special ... nothing was too much trouble ... food was amazing and plenty of it ... I would recommend anyone to have a bash here ... thank you .. 5 *
Went to eat at the potting shed with couple friends, we all tried different dishes and we was not disappointed. The food was plentiful and lovely. The service was great, the young woman that looked after us was polite and knowledgeable and friendly. We had a table near the window it was really good. Its a busy place so if your going at popular times like Saturday lunch best to book. I would recommend this place and the toilets were clean and easy accessible.
We visited in February 2024 after the recent refurbishment. The place looks stunning. The food is delicious and served in a timely manner. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again.
The Potting Shed is one of our favourite places to eat in Beverley! It's such a lovely building, I love the interior aesthetic. What's more, the food is great (and there are always good deals on) and the service is always prompt and friendly. Would really recommend!
We held our wedding reception here in the downstairs lounge area. Booking it was straightforward and the manager was very helpful. We booked a selection of two different food choices and this was amazing! We had many comments about how good the food was. We also got vouchers for our guests for drinks and hired the donut wall which was a big hit. Service was excellent, staff constantly clearing plates and glasses. My only slight disappointment was that I had been told we would be able to play music through the system in our room, but on the day we were told that this actually wasn't possible meaning we couldn't play our own and instead had the pubs soundtrack (was informed speaker access is actually in upstairs areas).
The potting shed is an excellent pub to stop at for a drink or bite to eat. There is an excellent range of beer including several cask conditioned real ales. They even have their own potting shed Amber ale, brewed especially for the pub. The food menu is quite varied and they make excellent pizzas in a proper wood-fired pizza oven. There is a large main room but it has a very nice cozy feel to it there's also two other rooms at the front of the pub, there is also a roof terrace overlooking the sports Fields. The car park is not as big as it was as most of it is covered with a large outdoor marquee. The staff are very friendly efficient and welcoming, all in all a good place.
Good food for the price. Can get a bit busy and noisy in peak times, but it didn't bother us. Carpark is small, there is however a pay car park next door. Waiting times can be a bit longer then avarage, but again we were not really in a rush. Would definitely go again if passing.
We had my mother's wake in the lounge. The catering was great and lots of lovely sandwiches and quiche. Apparently the little bowls of chips were lovely, but I never managed to grab one of these! Staff very good. And service excellent.
Big pub. A bit Wetherspoony but top end. Big outdoor area for supping in the sun. Real ale excellent and food tasty. Beware ordering the deal on three small plates for £15.95. Tried online and the discount didn't come up. Ordered at the bar and same thing £20. Pointed it out to barstaff and they corrected it. How many people have been caught out without knowing it though. Still, we liked this pub. One of the waitresses was lovely, very friendly and attentive. Her name was Skye. Cheers Skye, You're a credit to the pub.
Visited for the first time last week following the refurb! Superb start to the new look shed. Staff did amazing on the first night and the food and drink matched! Always a fan of shed for the atmosphere but they’ve really hit the nail on the head following this updo!
Would thoroughly recommend for adults, kids and your fur babies!

Went last week with a couple friends, was greeted by Callum, who was great as well as friendly. The prices where relatively great for the quality. Ordered a couple steaks that was cooked by by the chef Jordan, I think his name was; who also was friendly and seemed passionate about cooking when I had a quick chat whilst he was doing pizzas, but I must say it was the best steak I have had in a very long time . I will return and do definitely recommend.
A great venue. Open and airy. Varied menu with some querky options too all staff welcoming and even dog was made a fuss of. Server Charlie did a grand job of looking after us. Good portions of everything served in good time
Heard good things about this place so thought I'd give it a try. Great selection of drinks including real ales. Was busy after only being open for 15 minutes which is a good sign. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the burgers and then bangers and mash was very well received too. Will definitely be going back in the near future... Overall a fab bar!
I attended a 21st birthday party at the Potting shed Saturday night. They used the function room up stairs. I found it very good with plenty of space and seating, well decorated with an outside balcony if it had been warmer.
The owner could not have been more helpful. The room had a projector which was used with great effect and also a way to plug our own music device in so we played our own music. Saving on a DJ.
We were catered for with food, which I found was pretty basic and mainly deep fried. Or thin crust pizza, ok but dried out quickly or was very fatty.
Our bar man was very capable even though I only saw him smile once.
I will use the venue as it had a great atmosphere.
Finally found somewhere that does a lovelly fish and chips. My daughter had the pizza and some sweet potatoe fries. Yummy. The staff were lovely and polite and food was out quickly considering how busy it was. Parking in the multi story across the road only cost £1 for upto 3 hours so we could be as long as we wanted . My grandson was given a little menu that you could colour or do the puzzles but nothing to do them with .... maybe with covid .. toilets nice and clean but dryers are useless. You give in and use loo roll or your clothes. Definatelly worth a visit. X
A party of 8 of us arrived on Saturday evening, we didn't have a reservation but the staff had a bit of a reshuffle and managed to squeeze us in.
We all had food and drinks including pints, shots, cocktails and wine. The food was was excellent and the service was brilliant. All the staff were really professional and nothing was too much trouble.
They had live music playing from around 9pm until 11 which had the place rocking, the atmosphere was superb.
I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Beverley but I would advise on making a reservation, I think we were really lucky that they squeezed us in.
Special mention for the mangeress (sorry I forgot your name) on Saturday 2nd Dec 2023, thank you to you and your team for for looking after us, we had a blast x
