What a brilliant little tea shop hidden in plain sight in Beverley town centre. We were bought a voucher for the high tea and we were treated like royalty. Can't praise the food, the staff, the place enough. They were busy but it didn't feel as if you were being rushed or being a nuisance. The tea (to drink) was excellent, the sandwiches so fresh and filling and as fit the cakes and scones, haven't got the words to describe. Can I just mention that we'd already removed some food from the plates when I took the photo, it looked so good we couldn't resist. Brilliant experience, we'll definitely be back.

Our first time to this wonderful establishment. The food was terrific. The service was extremely efficient. What always makes our visits tremendous are the staff. The staff work so hard and very accommodating but more important is how they represent the company. They were warm and friendly, such a delight and we cannot wait to return. Well done to all at Kavanaghs Cafe and Tea Rooms of Beverley Love from the Caistor Couple sat in the corner xx

Lovely birthday lunch, very good service too! The only slight criticism is that i asked for the ploughmans lunch and the menu wasn't very informative as to the contents so i asked the waitress and she confirmed that it included ham , however it didnt and that would have really made it 10/10. Would definitely recommend and return however

Had a 5 minute wait as we hadn't reserved a table, lunch time was very busy. Good food and service. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely return.

We came to this place for lunch and ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 teas. The green tea was excellent and usually in other places green tea ends up a bit poor so I was very happy it tasted perfect. Very smooth taste and not over brewed. The staff were really friendly and happy having a bit of banter. I had the coronation sandwich on white, they had nuts in which changed the texture of the sandwich towards a bit of a negative. Probably the first place to add nut that I've been to, I'd rather cut out the nuts. The flavour was average, the bread was nice. The sign on the door said cash only so we went to the bank but when paying they had a card machine so can't decide on that one, I recommend been prepared and get cash just in case. It was very busy which suggests it's good. We have only been once but would recommend you try it for yourself.

We love it here, always busy but the staff are lovely and the food is great. The specials board is always worth a look, some really interesting options. Highly recommend.

Robert and the Kavanaghs team could not have been more accommodating for our wedding breakfast. They produced a delicious afternoon tea, including gluten & dairy free options, and a wonderful cake. The room is beautifully decorated but they allowed us to add our flowers and decorations too. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend holding any event with them.

Lovely place and food delicious. We were lucky to get a outside seat and enjoyed people watching in the sun! Staff very friendly. I couldn’t fault it apart from one toilet for the whole place!
