stopped for lunch - great service and amazing food
Excellent food, great price and lovely service, thank you
Lovely location with plenty of tables both inside and outside under a canopy. Slick simple ordering via the QR code on each table with online payment. Parking is at the rear and costs a few pounds for a couple of hours.
Food was good value and pretty decent at the price point. Service was rapid, and everything arrived very quickly. I have no hesitation recommending this place and will definitely visit again.
Y Stablau is a very busy spot. The BBQ short ribs and corn were superbly tender and delicious. The chicken burger was average, but the beef pie was nice. The Margarita Pizza was OK!
Service: They do the bare minimum, so don't expect too much!
On the plus side, it’s a dog-friendly place.
I usually stay here when I visit North Wales. Betws-Y-Coed is a beautiful little place and Y Stablau is in a great location as part of the Royal Oak. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. The food in The Stables is fairly typical pub food but that’s fine. The portions are generous, the service is prompt and the staff are friendly. There’s a good range of drinks too. It’s a good place and I recommend it
Betws Y Coed is a beautiful place as I'm sure anyone would agree.
After an afternoon at the nearby Zip world, one of the staff recommended we try The Stables for dinner! Glad we followed his advice!!
Plenty of outdoor seating for food or just for a few drinks. Able to order at the bar or through the QR code on each table (as we did).
Opted for the spicy burger, with a side of special loaded fries. Mrs went with the mild option chicken curry. Both really enjoyed the food. Very reasonably priced. Service was really efficient. Plenty of staff around.
Polished it off with the Belgian waffle myself and boss lady chose the cheesecake. Both very tasty and beautifully presented also.
The place had a lovely atmosphere, was very busy but still plenty of seating to be had (which is always appealing, there's a reason places are busy/lively!).
Only drawback, if you sit outside, be prepared to deal with a few wasps (which in all honesty could probably be said for anywhere this time of year).
The service here is prompt, the food is good quality, and the area is clean and well maintained. There is a reasonable variety of dishes that you'd expect at a typical pub grub venue, and the prices are in line with the higher end UK pubs. At the busier times, it can be a bit of a waiting game for an outside table, but this is to be expected as it's a popular area. All in all, a reliable family and dog friendly eating experience.
Visit here all year round. Always good food. Today was very disappointing because my meal was not as expected or up to their usual standards. Did not make a fuss but answered honestly when asked if I enjoyed it. The waiter disappeared then came back to our table with a cash refund for my meal. Very impressive, they were extra busy but made no excuses. Sometimes things are just not right.
Thank you for your curtesy (my partner loved his food) we will be back soon. Highly recommend this place.
Visited here again after getting a small b&b down the road. This is by far one of my most favourite places to visit in Wales, the bar and restaurant are awesome and can't recommend them enough.
Staff are great,it's if space externally and internally and the food... Well, dont get me started on the food. Excellent food and portions!!
As always thank you all, you'll continue to see me here!! I love it!!
As I live locally, I've visited a number of times, but with a new menu, I thought it's worth a look.
I went for the 3 peak burger that was a little steep in price 😅... but it looked stunning and tasted very good 8.4.
Loads of seating inside and out.
Staff on the ball and the place is/was clean.
A group of us called here for a quick pint. Really good selection of beers and asked to choose from. Nice pint with good service although as it was busy it took a while to be served. Comfy and lovely atmosphere. Would have loved to shoot outside as the weather was good but no room unfortunately. We should have got there earlier. We didn't have any food although the menu was very tempting.
We have visited twice on our holiday and loved it both times. Service was simple and food arrived quickly and hot!! The chips are probably the nicest I have ever had...
Reasonable value and good atmosphere, sitting in the outside covered area with heaters was perfect.
We will be back.
Great place for basic food, very busy at times, which made it difficult to get a table. Lovely outside area with overhead heaters to keep you snug. Food serviced quickly.
We came for our anniversary. It's such a lovely place and stunning location. The food is always amazing. My Husband had a burger and it was a very generous size. I had the sticky chilli fillet steak. Being pregnant, I've avoided steak as I like it medium. I took a chance and asked for it well done. How they managed to get a well done fillet steak to be so tender was absolutely amazing! We will be returning soon. Great little place.
Excellent food and service. Had some brilliant meals and drinks here.
I like being able to choose between ordering at the bar or on the app. Very convenient and keeps the bar queues manageable.
Would recommend the bacon and chicken pasta - very fresh and I had it twice.
Been going to this place for years. Pre covid it was a lovely relaxed and very accessible place for post hills food. Post covid lots of expansion and tougher to get a table. Food is still awesome with a lovely environment. Highly recommended. Food stops at 9. Go early. It’s worth it
Went to Y Stablau - Stables Bar for a meal, and we weren't disappointed, we had a lovely meal, and it was well cooked. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. It rounded our day off nicely.
Excellent location for visiting this beautiful area. The food really is great quality and very tasty. All the staff are friendly. I 100% recommended a visit 👍 thank you guys
Great location in the centre of Betws y Coed. Lucky to be here on a warm September evening and so able to sit outside. 45 min wait for food but that was no problem as it was a busy Saturday night and it was nice to enjoy the atmosphere anyway.
Food is sourced from local suppliers and cooked fresh. All in all, excellent.
