A beautiful secluded place with a great restaurant overlooking the lake. Breakfast was delicious. Entry fee £3.50 each, however if you book the restaurant there is no entry charge.Lovely walks. A real gem.
A venue with stunning surrounds is nothing without superb, food was 10/10. Excellent service and an ambiance that was 'just is'. Thank you, The Reverie. A delightful afternoon!
Really great experience. The food is fantastic and nicely presented, the setting is uniquely impressive and the staff are lovely. The perfect spot for a special celebration
Great view of lake. Slow food service. Food average but good size portions. Reasonable price. Stairs up to restaurant from parking area. Nice location at lake. Reservations only to enter park.
Beautiful setting for a lovely breakfast. There is a charge to visit the park, but if you pre-book this is waived, and you get 3 hours for a nice amble!
it was my first visit here and not the last one. I came from Spain to visit my relatives and it was a great sorprise. Nice location and views, the food was yummy and the staff very helful. Thank you, we will see you again during my next visit!
Spacious, splendid service, delicious meals, lovely atmosphere. Spectacular lake views.
We really loved our lunch here - a first time visiting but we’ve already booked to come back. Food menu was simple but perfect for what we were looking for. Beautiful views and tasty food. My only gripe was that food came out before drinks (a pet peeve as a glass of water should be quicker to bring out than multiple cooked meals). But staff were perfectly friendly, just a bit understaffed!
Great views and cool location. Food was good. Bit of an odd setup with the parking but sure there's a reason for it 🤷♂️.
Chose this restaurant after looking for somewhere to meet some friends who live in Hampshire; we live in Kent, and The Reverie seemed a great option.
The food and atmosphere was far better than we expected and the welcome from the staff was amazing.
The location next to the lake is amazing and while sitting on the deck eating and drinking; makes a stunning backdrop.
Although we arrived at the end of lunch, we never ever felt rushed and the staff paid just enough attention to ensure we were good but not be too intrusive.
We will definitely be back again as we all had a lovely time.
We had a fantastic meal here on Saturday evening (a birthday dinner). The food was delicious, the wine good and the service lovely. We had salt and pepper squid (perfect, tender squid) with the most delicious sticky chilli sauce to start and perfectly cooked medium rare sirloin for main. The venue is beautiful and the view spectacular. Only suggestion is a few rugs / table cloths or other soft furnishings to help with the noise levels as it was hard to hear each other across the table.
Went for Sunday roast today & got to say along with the beautiful scenery on offer the food lives up to its surroundings.Roast Beef decent quality with all the trimmings & nice drinks menu with kids menu to suit.East stroll round the lake & Woods on the grounds to walk it off.
Spot on will be back soon.5 star.👌🏽
Love this place. We have spent many a happy afternoon overlooking the water. The food is delicious and great value. The staff are super friendly.
Had a wonderful meal this evening. The food was fantastic and the staff were excellent and attentive. Fantastic location and couldn’t be in a nicer place. Everyone should come and try it , you won’t be disappointed. The cauliflower dish was to die for. It was Grilled cauliflower steak on a coconut and lentil dhal, cauliflower purée and black fennel , perfect for the vegetarian . Can’t wait to come back.
We often go to The Reverie but the first time for Sunday lunch, and it was delicious, tasty, fully satisfied without feeling stuffed. Beautiful view even in the summer rain
Welcome really really warmly by the lovely manager. Loved my cauliflower salad though I dread to think what the ‘small’ was like and was glad I added chicken.
The location is just incredible, SO beautiful.
The choice of beer I thought was terrible, there are so many great local breweries and having stopped draught beers they don’t do anything local. Also the white wine was served room temp so had to ask for ice cubes.
Would definitely go back because of the location though would come back far sooner and more regularly if there were better drinks choices.
Had a great Sunday roast after a lovely walk through the woods and around the lake. Great quality ingredients and cooking along with very friendly and helpful staff.
What a gem! Book before you go, but make sure you then do go! I went for breakfast on a drizzly August weekday morning at 9am; quiet then, but loved the whole experience… food, location/lake-views, service: all excellent!
It was my first time there and what a wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful outlook, and I didn't realise that such a large scenic area could be hidden away. I can't say how much was spent as I was treated
