What a great find. Loads of character, outstanding food and brilliant service. Plenty of parking and outside seating. I have passed this place many times but there is not much to see from the road. Don't let that put you off ! It's lovely inside and there was a log fire going in the outside area.
My Husband and I had our wedding reception at the Red Lion. We were very happy with the venue and Marc and the team were welcoming and extremely helpful. Marc assisted us with all our needs and made sure a great day was had by all. We rented the bedrooms for our guests and were happy with all of t
Food was lovely, Thank you to the chef, presentation, flavours were wonderful. Wonderful service and well done to the two young men serving. Only gave a 4 star as rooms need an update but extremely clean. Thankyou From a party of 8 . Evening meal 191023
This is a little gem of a pub - enjoyed a delicious midweek lunch here - varied menu to suit all tastes. I really liked my inventive and tasty vegetarian wellington reasonably priced at £13.95. It has an attractive outdoor seating area adjacent to cricket pitch, comfy interior and friendly efficien
Absolutely fantastic pub, staff, service, food, rooms, setting, beers, wine spirits to choose from. A total credit to the owner Mark 👍. We spent our anniversary there last night and stayed in one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in ! A big thank you to Julia, Jack & Ben, and the brilliant che
This is an excellent Inn with rooms, well kept real ales and great English food served by attentive and helpful staff. I particularly enjoyed the traditional sausages. The wooden sculptures in the beer garden are brilliant. We will be back next time we come to the area.
What a party! And what excellent service! 40 of my friends and family had the hot buffet lunch on Saturday, 10th June in the marquee. We were grateful for the shade. The menu was super and I didn't change it at all, despite the finicky taste of some of us. Marc and his staff/team were extremely h
Loved it the first time, loved it many times but in our last visit I loved it even more! Super recommended. We've been to the pub, not stayed over, so I cannot comment on the rooms but judging by their overall standards, I bet they are amazing.
I stayed at the Red Lion as I knew it would be quiet at night and because I'd stayed there before and was pleased with the room I had before. My room was in the main block. It was a good size, there was everything I needed. There was a lovely view, it was quiet when the pub closed. I ate in the res
Oh wow! Mates who work nearby (one of whom with us) had eulogised about the food! I'm afraid they didn't do it justice! Had been advised to try the steak and kidney pie, and duly ordered..this is a favourite dish of mine, and I have to say I've never had better! Almost incidental, even to a hardene
Beautiful country pub with plenty of charm set in picturesque surroundings. Very friendly staff and owner who go above and beyond. I have recommended this pub to many of my friends and one even chose it for his wedding reception, great food live music and a awesome atmosphere 👌👍
Julia and the team were very accommodating in finding us a table when we called in on the off chance after the ladies open golf . Lovely touch having the free appetiser of hummus and nachos . Best steak mushroom and Ale pie ever would highly recommend
Had my wife’s 50th birthday party here and the whole experience was fantastic. Everything went to plan, staff were amazing, the venue is the best and Mark the landlord is just superb and professional.
We hosted a business networking event (RH Networking) at The Red Lion. We used the outdoor area....which is just lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great event and will defiantly go back again.
Absolutely amazing little gem of a place, lovely outside area and the food was incredible. Mark the owner was brilliant and looked after us. Great value aswell I will definitely be staying here again!!
Generally good. Some of the beers were a bit pricey (Neckoil at £7.25 a pint was one), and the bar was a bit small for the size of the overall venue. Other than that, all good! The toilets were easily accessible for wheelchairs, with just one step into the pub to navigate. Tbh, a ramp would easy to
As usual, excellent food and service for our post-walk lunch and relax session 😁Those burgers have got to be the best on Surrey. Love the choice of music too 🎶
WOW what can I say!! From beginning to end…. Marc and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make my partners 40th birthday party SO SO special. From assisting me with the decorations, laying out a beautiful table. We had a buffet, which was absolutely perfect. Staff regularly clearing our table away, an
I've not stayed overnight here but have eaten here on a few occasions and attended a birthday gathering here. It is a beautiful quirky building with lovely staff and great food. The menu is varied and the ingredients of good quality. The outside area is full of character and is a welcoming and fun p
