What a quaint little place - loved it, venue is spot on with fab decor, proper country feel to it !!! We sat outside this time as weather permitted :) garden furniture also comfy and great quality also !!! Enjoyed seeing the animals too while enjoying a much deserved cuppa after taking the dog for a walk, who was also watered and treated to a doggy treat also :) Can't wait to re visit :) really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly feel to the place :) :)

An excellent cafe within the stunning Ashridge Estate. Child friendly activities and play, farm animals and all within a real working farm setting. Great service and superbly presented.

This is the second time I have used this cafe now, this time bought a friend who was very impressed . There are a few farm animals too that you can feed, like goats etc, also a tractor and sand pit made from a large tractor wheel for the little ones. It’s also beautiful inside as you can see from pics you can see the roof of the barn and some of the chair made of hay so cool! There is a small amount of parking opposite and a shop next to the cafe that sells lots of pet supplies.

Love this place! Go every Saturday and Monday, and we live in Watford! Lee, the owner, is great, and the girls who cook and serve people are great too! It's our paradise from every day life👍👍

Popped in part way through a very wet dog walk. Plenty of room. There are a lot more seats now, which is good for sunny days. We like it in here.

Nice little place for the small ones and have something to eat. Wouldn't recommend the coffee but the tea is good.

A lovely walk up from Northchurch with kids and dog in the autumn sun and a well earned coffee and slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake. Ideal! Hay bales for seats and a dog friendly attitude are the antithesis of mainstream lookalike coffee chains.

Been here many times and really enjoyed it. Delightful sitting outside the barn on the picnic tables. Lovely mug of tea, Latte coffee was fine (from a machine) and good home made cakes but my cycling buddy did not rate the americano coffee. Good place to bring young children as they enjoy seeing the farm animals and playing on the disused tractor

Great for small children & their carers. I also liked the general approach to their care of their animals & the quality of the facilities (apart perhaps from the portaloos)

Great hospitality at the cafe, with careful consideration taken for the current situation (benches outside with distancing and hand sanitiser stations in multiple places). Lovely barn cafe with local produce and farm animals nearby as well as child friendly distractions (tractor, sandpit and small animal enclosures).

A pleasant environment to sit and relax, whilst having a drink/food with family and/or friends. Nice bacon baps, and toasties also available. Perhaps not the place (admittedly) for those loving a barista-prepared proper coffee, but the tea was pretty good. It can be quite a popular place sometimes, meaning a wait for food, but friendly staff do their best to bring it out to your table as soon as it is ready, and regularly clear tables to keep the seating area welcoming. Very family orientated, little ones particularly seem to enjoy getting close to the animals, and having an old tractor to clamber upon. Well done Leigh ! Sept 2023 : bacon & egg bap today was yummy, but still a few minutes waiting to receive it, meaning my coffee was already half finished. Nevermind, worth the visit anyway.

We enjoyed a Mums meet up lunch here. Relaxed atmosphere, we liked sitting outside in the sunshine, there were umbrellas for shade and some indoor seating. Not a large food offering just toasted sandwiches and cakes mostly. They take cash or card in the café and you order food and they bring it out to you. Not wheelchair accessible and toilet is a portaloo.
