We are regulars at the pub, and it’s always 5⭐️ every visit 🥰 We also held our wedding reception here in September and I cannot fault one single thing. The entire team were amazing from start to finish and made our entire day seemless, beautiful all while serving 80+ guests with big smiles and love!
Delicious and well presented food combined with friendly service and nice atmosphere. We stopped here based on past reviews whilst headed back to the train from a day out walk and were rewarded. All of us enjoyed our meals and left smiling and sated. I would certainly return when in the area.

Visited last night with my husband for dinner. We sat in the bar area for a cocktail first, which had a lovely atmosphere, buzzy and friendly. Service was swift behind the bar which lots of staff.

A stunning restaurant situated in the heart of the town. The decor is absolutely stunning. Our waiter was a beautifully charming man who made our lunch really enjoyable. The food was delicious & overall a really nice place.
One of the most delicious meals out we've had in a while. Every course excellent but the beef short rib and the lamb roulade really were stand out!! Really flavourful and perfectly cooked meat.
wow, never been disappointed with a meal here. Also do really nice cocktails so make sure you don't drive here. Not the cheapest of places but you do get the value in the quality of food you have.
Had lunch here when visiting from London. Very friendly staff and lovely brasserie area. 2 of us had the sea bream and our daughter had a vegan tagine- all delicious. The waitress was very helpful with suggestions regarding the vegan options.

We have had many good pub roast dinners in the last 8 years in the UK - this one ranks as the best. All 5 of us had roast beef and all 5 of us demolished our food! An absolutely brilliant cut of beef, done beautifully pink with all the trimmings! 😋

A truly incredible pub and restaurant.
We stopped by on a busy Sunday without booking and they seated us very quickly. The service was very quick and friendly and our mains came out in under 10 minutes. Some of the best food I’ve ever had.

We’ve eaten here several times and are always very happy with the quality and choice of food. The cheese soufflé , braised short beef ribs and pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice cream were all excellent. It’s relaxed and comfortable and our two (well behaved!) dogs are always welcome too.

Airy gastropub serving high quality food. We had Sunday lunch here when visiting Berkhamsted for the day. There is a decent wine selection available and the roast dinner was tasty. The Highwayman was good value as it does 2 courses for £20.

Lovely decour, friendly and helpful staff and brilliant food choices for vegans/vegetarians. Also the puddings and cocktails are lush :) good value and reasonably priced! would definitely recommend for a dinner out in berko :)
