Lovely pub next to a vineyard. Great food, my lamb was gorgeous! My mate loved her duck. One of the best pubs for food i have been to. Great service with a smile and a friendly local crowd. Only downside was a couple having a full domestic :(

The food is always interesting, locally sourced if possible, tasty and served by nice people in a relaxed atmosphere. Pricey? Maybe, but good value. Keep a good bitter and interesting wine list

Great pub with fantastic food. Very fortunate that this is on my doorstep. It is a first class pub, with good beers and wines and a lovely local feel to it. Which is all very good indeed, then they go and do fantastic food! Everything from bacon on a bubble and squeak cake to a pan fried sea bream. Same couple (Salisbury Pubs) own four other pubs in the Chilterns - Swan, Denham; Royal Oak, Bovingdon Green, Marlow; The Old Queens Head, Penn; and recently took on Black Horse, Fulmer.

This is a traditional country pub serving good food. I have no idea why on Urbanspoon it is listed as Harrow.

Great food and amazing service! We had the bubble and squeak, courgette linguine and pork loin. All were good. Will recommend!

Lovely pub with excellent food, we had pork bites to start, burger & lamb tagine for mains, and lemon posset & choc mousse for desert. All was delicious, with a few drinks each the bill came to £100 which wasn’t too bad! Only let down was the service - seemed understaffed and the waiters weren’t very attentive, had to flag them down to ask for drinks, menus, and to order!

Lovely pub, with a high price tag Pros: - good quality food - lovely location - nicely decorated and good outdoor atmosphere Cons - the price (attached pic was £21!! It's gnocchi with a few mushrooms and small portion of meat). Average £20+ for a main - very busy in and around peak times - quite a 'standard british' menu (roast, bangers and mash, fish etc) - difficult parking on a very congested road Conclusion - lovely pub which obviously can afford to charge a massive premium for it's popularity.

Pakoras and bubble & squeak starters were sublime. Pork belly and rib eye steak also excellent. Delicious Puglian wine, and well kept Chiltern and Tring beers. First class service. Highly recommended

amazing little pub and very reasonable. We went for a drink after a long walk. Great outdoor seating and a few local beers. Did not eat, hence no review on the food. Liked the sheepskin padding for the benches.

Lovely gastro pub with plenty of parking and an ideal spot for walking. Close to a most beautiful bluebell wood which is glorious in spring. Pub itself has excellent beers and wine list and serves high end pub food. I had a sumptuous Pork belly with veg. Mmmm! Starter was amazing and would grace any fine restaurant. We were served by Zoe who was charming and very helpful with our choices. 2nd visit which confirms how good this is. Will return.

Lovely pub that has a good atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and great food. All very tasty and beautifully presented. There is a small car park and some on street parking on a very narrow street. Booking ahead if you are dining is recommended. Went on a Friday at 6pm and by 7 it was almost full. I am a manual wheelchair user and the entrance door is just wide enough for me and my chair is fairly narrow. You need to navigate a small lip at the entrance. Inside it is all on one level and I was able to get through without having to ask others to move. There is no accessible toilet unfortunately. A great place to go for fantastic food 🙂

Lovely pub for drinks and food. Lots of outdoor seating. Some under cover and some under trees. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was good and food was great. We both had the lamb. I prefer mine on the bone but not everyone does and it was still good. Good place to end up in after a long walk. Pretty garden.

My friends and I came here after a country walk and we found one of the best Sunday roast we’ve ever tried. Both food and service were amazing! We’ll definitely come back. Booking in advice is highly recommended. ;)
