Had a pleasant lunch in the Beer Garden after a ramble around Bentley. Lovely food and quick service with friendly staff. Also a dog friendly pub, my husband was happy as they have Doom Bar beer on tap. Could do with having some wasp traps in the garden quite a few bothering us during our meal. Have son who is allergic to the stings so would not be able to sit out if he joined us.
Had a delicious meal with great company. Staff are amazing, helpful and kind. Food was delicious filling and well presented. I will go again.

First great thing was Kronenbourg on draft - you don't get it many places now so I was delighted!
We were a group of 17 and everyone enjoyed their food. It was cooked very well and was very flavoursome.
And the service was superb, everyone was friendly, helpful and very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
I would happily make a return visit as I enjoyed it so much.

Excellent tuna steak; very pleasant staff. Very quiet! My friend had the ploughman's with Stilton and enjoyed it.
It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon but a few people were in, had a scrumptious and huge salad. Would definitely recommend.
Went here today for a last minute Sunday lunch. Were not disappointed! We snagged a table by the open fire and both had the roast beef with all the trimmings. Absolutely delicious. A classic tender and tasty roast dinner. Will definitely be back.

Really lovely staff and great food. Fab vegan options and vegan ice cream! Yum! Dog friendly as well with lovely, well behaved doggy patrons.

Stop off on way back from Winchester. Warm welcome, good menu, lovely table by the log fire. Ordered their home made chicken curry, and a Mac n cheese, absolutely delicious!! What more could you need on a winter’s afternoon. I’ll definitely be back.

I usually have low expectations when hoping for vegetarian options in pubs but not only was I torn between strong choices at The Star Inn, but the veggie pie I got was one of the best I've had in ages. My partner was also OBSESSED with his fish pie.
We were visiting from out of town and when the bar staff heard they couldn't have been more wonderful in suggesting local places to check out.
Fantastic hospitality, delicious food, fair prices, was really a nice relaxed highlight amongst our jam-packed trip.
Absolutely brilliant pub just off the main drag. There homemade burgers are second to none and so welcoming .... a wonderful experience thank you team
