Top pub with decent ales and lagers on draft. Good gin selection too and the food and atmosphere are both superb. Really friendly and welcoming pub!
Great pub,great atmosphere and food,very friendly
enjoyed a wonderful meal kindly prepared by the chef. our Italian guests were impressed with the homemade pasta, and also appreciated the fish and chips. I was very impressed by the juicy and tender beef, words cannot express this pleasure.
Brilliant pub, atmosphere and beer.
The closest you can get to stepping inside the Sun without getting burnt. The welcome is as warm as the decor with bags of charm and the right amount of 'stuff' (on the walls, dotted around etc) And the pizzas - WOW! Well worth checking out.
While this isn't my part of the world I am lucky enough to have a very good friend who lives locally. We went to have a beer and some food and both were great. The beer I had was Moorhouses Bitter and an excellent pint it was too. The food was really enjoyable as well. I chose chicken cooked in bacon and it was a very tasty plateful. Just the right amount....not a heap of food but a very well cooked enjoyable tasty dish. Service was great, attentive without overdoing it.
really smart pub. staff were fab with us. although no kids menu the pizza was great for my smaller 2 to share. food was delicious and pudding was spot on. would love to visit again. such a friendly atmostpere even a local doggy was having his 1st birthday there which my toddler loved
Such a nice pub, camped nearby with a few friends and we discovered this pub and ended up in it on both nights! Really friendly owners who we had a good laugh with, really good welcoming feel, lovely pints and amazing food, we had pizzas there and they were perfect, will have to make another journey back just for this pub!
It's a shame they are working on a limited menu.
We had beef burger and a chicken burger. It was served lovely and tasted great. Can't wait till everything is back to normal .

Always a friendly welcome from Tony and Sedge. The beers are well kept and a good variety of wines and spirits. Looking forward to getting back to eating inside as well, the food is always first class.
