I've been going here for about 30 years and I have to say it's a great pub. The staff are great and really friendly. It's been extended and done up over the years to a great standard. It's got a cozy atmosphere. Haven't had food but from what I've seen it looks good and plentiful. It has a good beer garden with sea views. Highly recommend.

Loved it here. It was a gorgeous day when we visited, so we sat outside. It was lovely. All staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, fresh and piping hot (I recommend the pie of the day, whatever it is!). We'll definitely be going back.

I have only just worked out I can’t eat dairy. We come on holiday to Benllech. We have a table booked at The Benllech. On the menu is Mussels in a wine a cream sauce. I love mussels . I ask one of the servers could they steam the mussels for me. Suddenly a young man spirals at the table asking about my intolerance. It’s the chef. He can cook my mussels in vegan cream and wine. An Angel. I was so touched. A co diner tried both sauces and couldn’t tell the difference well done the chef and thank you. Every one else enjoyed their meal especially the pies!! Good value for 2 bottles fizz beer and 6 meals !!

What an absolute gem of a pub this is! Looking unassuming from the outside, you would probably drive past it! We visited today as it is dog friendly inside (whilst most eateries in the area only allow dogs outside) and it was too blowy to sit out. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the excellent Mel....warm, friendly and efficient. We had several staff serve us during our visit and all were delightful and couldn't do enough for you. Now the food....absolutely delicious!...really fantastic! The menu is varied and they also have a soup, pie, catch, dessert and cheesecake of the day plus specials and portion sizes are generous. Highly recommend a visit here.

Been here quite a few times now. It's a nice place for families and the staff are always very pleasant. Most of the time I have chosen well with the food but had a couple of very average meals too. It's value for money and they have plenty of gluten free options. Definitely a place to go for your evening meal whilst in or around Benllech and the tables outside are welcome when it's hot.

We booked a table as we know how busy The Benllech can be. We arrived and our table was ready for us. The staff were amazing throughout our visit. The food was amazing. The kids portion sizes were a great size and we all enjoyed our meals. Can't wait to visit again.

Spot on for everything! All staff were pleasant, efficient and friendly throughout. Bell system is genius! Ring bell and staff are straight to your table to take your orders. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Try the chips and onion rings! The pie is excellent and burgers were tasty. Chicken burger was a little over done but still very good. Highly recommend!!

Came to the pub for vegan Fish and Chips. Sadly the owner mentioned to me that supplier no longer makes the Fish alternative. However, he did say they could make a vegan halloumi version. This was soooo nice 😃 and the garlic mushroom starter was to die for. I was also offered good advice on beers to try. Lovely food, dog friendly and professional. I will come back again!

Me and my partner came on Easter Sunday, it was quite busy. There was a menu online that I was looking at that was different to the menu they had in the pub. I asked the lady serving us if I could just have some hummus and flatbread as a starter (this was on the online menu). She said that this wouldn't be a problem. When the starters came, I was given a platter of mixed breads, olives, balsamic vinegar and hummus. I said to the lady that I didn't ask for this. This was on the new menu and was double the price of the hummus and flatbread. She apologied and said the lady serving made a mistake. I was then brought hummus and some bread (they said they didn't have any flat bread). This was very very yummy and the homemade bread was still warm when it came out. My partner had the garlic mushrooms and they were delicious. I ordered a Turkey roast dinner for my mains and my partner ordered the burger and chips. When the mains came out though, we were brought 2 roast dinners. The lady apologised and my partner had to wait 10-15 minutes for his burger and chips. Overall, the food was high quality and I would highly reccomend. The waiting time was quite long, it's understandable though, given it was a Bank Holiday. The communication between staff could have been at a higher standard. The only frustrating thing that was bothering us was dogs inside the pub barking constantly during our visit. Even customers sitting by us were complaining. It's not a pub to come to if you want peace and quiet.

Amazing service with a bell on your table to call service. Outside had the most stunning views of Benllech beach. Food was decent pub grub with a good selection and specials menu.

Oursecond visit here. The food is just wonderful and the staff are very attentive. And they allowed us to take home what we couldn't eat as the portions are so generous. Will definitely be back again and again

Just had the worst meal I've had in a long time. If I could give it zero stars I would. After many good meals, I was incredibly disappointed this evening. So many bad dishes. 4 adults. 1 good starter, 3 terrible. Chicken wings have gone from 9/10 to 2/10. Prawn cocktail was good value given the amount of prawns, but vile given the amount of paprika. Inedible. Both people left 70% Mushrooms OK 2 good mains. 2 terrible Cajun chicken burger was OK. Kofte burger dry and tasteless Pesto & pinenut pasta, the less said the better. Had nicer pot noodles. 2 good desserts 3 kids 1 good main. 2 terrible. Sad thing is, we ordered the same kids meals a few weeks ago and they were very good. Pizza is now shockingly bad. Felt so sorry for my Grandkids having to eat it. A slice of French bread with tomato puree and grated cheese is not a pizza. Chicken goujons were OK. Pretty good actually. Possibly the best dish of the night, such a shame it was for a 3 year old who probably didn't appreciate how lucky they were. The sad thing is, the staff are brilliant but the business will suffer if they continue to serve food which is well below the standard clients have grown to expect. Frequently spend £200+ but we certainly won't be heading back any time soon.
