Come into the pub very often, never miss a day. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, The Young guy Dan is the best by far though. He’s always so hilarious, smiley and friendly.
Would recommend to anyone who wants the perfect place to go and have a quick drink or a night out.

Best pub in Essex… maybe even the UK. Come every week and service is always fantastic, especially Dan - man knows how to serve a Coke Zero and isn’t too bad on the eye either!
Visited for the weekly quiz on a Monday night, great fun in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The lovely Debbie looked after us, making sure we had everything we needed.
Went In after a long walk, massive beer garden, can order drinks and food from the app. Really quirky pub with nice ambience. We had sweet chilli chicken ciabatta and they were lovely and well priced. Beer wasn't overpriced for the location either. Would highly recommend.
The Sunday Roast - Turkey was cooked to perfection. Easily pulls apart with just the fork that a knife is barely needed. The sides were also good. The gravy was also tasty.
The Hoy and Helmet, lovely Green King pub. Great selection of guest ales! Had a wicked pint of T.T Landlord. Lovely atmosphere, low beamed ceiling, old stone floor. Then the football came on and ruined the atmosphere, blaring out too loud so I left after the first pint.

Had a great time at the hoy last Saturday! If you are after good food, music and friendly atmosphere this is the place! Fish and chips were great and DJ was a nice touch with music and dancing. Will definitely be back!
