Delighted! What a wonderful place. Having eaten in most places restaurants on Uist I can comfortably and confidently say that the fish cakes in Charlie’s is the best plate of food this side of Glasgow and beyond. Add that to the terrific staff and you have a great mix of excellence. We will be back.
First of all the chef was only 17yrs old and he cooked one of the most amazing meals. The food was fresh and just fantastic. Very good menu. Can't comment of rooms as only went there to dine. I would recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely fantastic food. All best.
I couldn't falt this place if I wanted too. Friendly staff, great service, and a warm and cosy atmosphere. I had the surf and turf. I can be picky about my steaks, but it was cooked to perfection. Such a surprise waits you when you enter. Staff are really lovely and the dining experience and food is unbelievely good. How they make such wonderful dishes in such a small kitchen, I've no idea.

Nice room and slept well. Made to feel very welcome in the restaurant. Lamb shanks & teriyaki scallops were both very well cooked and presented.
Very good food and service here. Local seafood and lamb available when we visited. Food was well prepared and presented and there is a good choice too.
We had a really delicious meal here. The service was very friendly and very fast. The range of food includes venison and local seafood. The clootie dumpling dessert is delicious too.
