We can walk easily to the Beach Hut Cafe from our home. It is such a lovely place to be. Yesterday, we sat in the garden there and had a lovely pot of tea. The weather was perfect as was the view. Would definitely recommend it.
Great food on the menu. We had a crab sandwich, a BLT and shared the tomato, feta and olive salad and it was fantastic. Great range of gluten free too. I asked for the crab sandwich to be on gluten free bread and out came two wonderful gluten free rolls. Really great with allergies. Wonderful location right by the beach.
Visited the Beach Hut today, the food was outstanding....my husband said it was the best salmon he's ever tasted!(, And that's something coming from him !!) and the crab in ramekins were delicious, Quick and very friendly, helpful service. We will definitely be back.

My very favourite place on the island. Warm and welcoming with delicious fresh food ...... the seafood platters and crab ramekins are just wonderful. Sit in the open air and just relax and enjoy the view with one of Jon's cocktails. You won't want to leave ❤
My friend and I had lunch here yesterday. This was my second visit and won't be my last. The food was delicious, the service polite and efficient and the views stunning. Rustic, casual and an eating experience to be cherished.
Saw a review by chance in the local paper and it lived up to its reputation. Friendly staff and dog friendly which is a breath of fresh air. I had the mackerel pâté and the chocolate brownie for desert; both delicious. I can't wait to go back, hopefully on a less windy day 👍
A hidden treasure! Stumbled across The Beach Hut during a morning walk along the beach a few days ago. Great service and tasty food. It's a beautiful little place with a lovely view and atmosphere. Amazing cake too! I was so impressed I told my wife about it and took her there the next day. :-)
We’ve had such fun! The girls loved it all. Emma was amazing and catered for their individual needs.

Late summer day, fantastic fresh seafood, great white wine option, what's not to like? I can't imagine it mid-summer, but on a quiet day when we mostly had the place to ourselves, just heaven.

Just the perfect spot! We had a cocktail some other drinks and some sandwiches and it was fab! Really friendly owner. I've been wanting to go here for a while and finally got to go yesterday. You could literally just sit for hours enjoying the drinks, food and scenery. I'm looking forward to going back.

Tucked out of the way and positioned down on the Beach 🏖️, fantastic little cafe set on 3 levels, ground is eats with Hawaiian style parasol, 2nd level again eats for groups of people, 3rd level the bar. Great service and food was lush, will go again when on the IOW. This Beach Café was featured on the ITV program Isle of Wight.
Amazing view. Service was stellar. Menu was limited and expensive but very good.

Wow!! What can I say !!! The last time I came here was 2016 with my son and the restaurant consisted of a couple of tables and no toilet !!!
We had no preconceptions and came with my in laws who live on the island!!! After a bit of a Rocky start with service the food was delivered!! To say that the quality and quantity was out of this world was an understatement!!! We all ordered the sea food platter !!! The variety of beautiful fish was outstanding and so was the freshness and quality!!! The waitress who’s Birthday it was dressed in a beautiful pink dress who's shift started while we were in the middle of our meal was the best !!! Make sure you keep her she turned the service to an outstanding immediately!!! This restaurant is an absolute must if you visit the island !!! If you compare the quality and freshness along with the price it beats the Hut in Colwell Bay in every category hands down !!!We will talk about our experience for many months and can’t wait until we are back next year to experience it again !!! Sea food Heaven !!Thanks for the best night out we have had all year
For me, the location is everything here. On a sunny day, there are few better places to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Unfortunately, there is little cover on a rainy day, especially if you have a dog with you as they are welcome on the uncovered lowest tier.
The menu is small but has a very nice selection and what they do, they do well. Portions are both tasty and large. The seafood platter is huge, so ask for a big table. A vegetarian platter is available. The restaurant is set on 2 tiers with a bar on the upper 3rd tier. It's a shame the venue doesn't open in the evening, as I'd love to experience a summers evening there.
Unfortunately, because of the location, The Beachut is not wheelchair accessible.
Over several years, we have seen The Beach Hut develop considerably from almost literally a hut to this gorgeous cafe/ restaurant with extended decking, creating an extra seating area. A beautiful setting tucked away overlooking the coast tastefully decorated with plenty of tables and seating.We happened to pass it whilst out walking and had to do a double take at the transformation.
We just had to visit and had a lovely friendly welcome by the owners . As it was gin o'clock we were recommended to have a local gin from the island.
We then enjoyed a relaxing time overlooking the lovely coastal view .
Amazing. Off the beaten track. But wow! Food terrific. Welcome very warm. Great atmosphere with subdued '60s music. Views over the sea to die for. They have 10 rooms. Very well priced. Great base whilst on IOW. I'd stay here without doubt......give it a go, you WON'T be disappointed. Tony Perrin. (Prepare to be very pleasantly surprised).

Went for lunch for four (plus a dog), the food was amazing and every staff member was cheerful and lovely, we felt very looked after. Dog friendly. Would highly recommend!

Our group of 6 had a lovely lunch at the newly reopened Beach Hut. Amazing seafood and views you can't beat. Great atmosphere and lovely staff who went out of their way to create shade for us in the fierce sun. Strong recommendation for a long lunch.
Wow, wow and wow. The food is fabulous as are the staff. The sea food platter, see pic, was really fresh and well worth the trip.Great location on the beach so be prepared for the weather and dont be fooled by the look of the place. It hides a little gem on the IoW.

Great beach and food shack! Beautiful settings, simple good food, not crowded out of season! Service can be extremely long and painful when crowded! Amateur staff so be warned and be patient.
A definite must visit in the IOW. A beautiful location and the lady who served at the hatch very friendly and welcoming. Lots of lovely options on the food menu. Looked very fresh and tasty. Also recommend the Mermaid Gin 🧜♀️ 👌 😍
