Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but the vegetarian grill was meatless but everything was deep fried to death which left me feeling a little queazey. I do think I picked the wrong dish as many of their other dishes looked very good liked the eggs and mushrooms and the avocado on toast with eggs.

Used to frequent the Derby one quite a lot previously, and have now been to the Belper one a few times too. Always find the menu to have good variety and interesting dishes, and the food & coffee has always been very nice every time I've been. Been enjoying the veggie breakfasts recently. It's convenient that you can order via phone with the QR code or via the touch screen, and the service is always very friendly. There's always a nice atmosphere too. Keep up the good work :)

Coffee here is always nice , I like a oat chai latte or a hazelnut cappuccino. Breakfast is good quality and quite tasty but in my opinion a little overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere is fairly calm and the outside area is fairly well maintained. Coffee seems to take a while to be done however if there's a few of you in although it's good coffee. The lunch menu is nice , but again a little costly. They've a good selection of cakes but the gf and vegan ones sometimes miss the mark but the scones are delicious. Overall a better than average quality produce but could use little tweaks .

Belper Bookcafe: Well, what can I say; at face value... Books and coffee, two things I really appreciate. However, this stop in Belper turned out to be much more than just books and coffee. I came here with my partner on a spontaneous whim.... And I'm so glad we did, we had a lovely time and vow to return in the future. The café is in an excellent spot, with dedicated parking which is free for up to two hours - anything more requires a permit from the café. As it turned out, 2 hrs was more than enough for us to have an elegant sufficiency :) The building is two storey with customer dining on both the ground and first floor. There is also outside seating to be enjoyed when the sun is out. We opted for the ground floor as it seemed more sociable and we didn't want to disturb people reading upstairs. The decor and atmosphere inside is one of the things I appreciated the most, it's rustic and industrial, with lots of interesting features.... And old books which really brings the name of the café to life. The food was delicious, we ordered from the breakfast menu which was mostly locally sourced and was well worth paying that bit extra for.... Coupled with a coffee, it went down a real treat. The staff were very friendly and service was what you would expect from an establishment that strives to deliver excellence. Polite and friendly which adds to the overall experience. Before leaving we had to take a coffee and a slice of homemade cake for later on - yummy 😋 All in all, very happy with our stop and we will definitely be making a return visit in the future. Thank you

We had a full Derbyshire, full veggie and a triple cheese sandwich. Stellar! It’s obvious they have legitimate chefs working with the food because it was excellent! Good coffee/tea also!

Lovely afternoon tea! The cafe was really cozy and the food was delicious. We were so full by the time we got to the cakes so we took them away and enjoyed them at home.

We came for a coffee but ended up having lunch as the menu was great. The food was superb we had the Greek "street food style" souvlaki and it was delicious, and the salad and herbs tasted so fresh. Staff were superb and very friendly. Think I’ve found my new little spot.

Expensive but items are of premium quality even down to the bread so you get what you pay for. The bacon was Smokey and tastey.
