Martin and I got married here on Thursday 16th August and could not have asked for a more perfect day. From the moment that we initially booked the venue, we were made to feel so welcome and so special by everyone we came into contact with. Antonia was absolutely brilliant - she is SO good at what she does, and strikes the best balance between being a lovely human being and being super-efficient, organised and calm. I felt safe with her straight away, and knew that I could absolutely trust her to manage the ins and outs of our big day. We always felt like it was absolutely 'our' day, and that there was nothing too big or too small to bring up, even if it felt a bit silly to us - Antonia (and everyone else) always made time to listen to us and guide us where we were uncertain. On the day itself, I woke up feeling incredibly chilled out because of Antonia and how unflappable she is - she had told me so many times that it was her job to make the day run smoothly, and that all I had to do was relax and enjoy myself. It was such a gift to have someone working so tirelessly behind the scenes, who knew exactly what my 'vision' was and just made things happen. I trusted her completely. In terms of the venue itself, we went for the Exclusive Package, which included all of the rooms, food, some of the drink, some of the venue dressing and the evening entertainment. We found this really good value for money. The food was beautiful (we had rave reviews from guests and zero complaints) and the DJ was fab. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable (even the ones that Antonia said were small!) and our guests were chuffed. I would really recommend using Lenka from Ambience as a venue dresser; although some of the décor is included in the package, she looked at my Pinterest boards and we came up with some beautiful additions together which made the venue look spectacular. We got married in the outdoor ceremony area, which is a gorgeous space and felt really special. I feel like I'm gushing, but I honestly feel like it was perfect. So many of our guests commented on how friendly and relaxed of an atmosphere it was compared to other weddings they'd been to, where things had felt a bit frenetic, and this is down to the fabulous job that everyone at Makeney Hall Hotel did. I could not recommend the venue and the team highly enough, and am so grateful for everything that everyone did for us both in the lead up, and on the day itself. THANK YOU xxx

We had a few days break at the Hall earlier this month ,we found the staff very good and helpful ,the food ,excellent,good selection for breakfast ,fresh and hot . the evening meal was very good highly recommend the steak.The room was very comfortable and everything worked ,which is a bonus.The grounds were so lovely ,all in all a very pleasant short break .

Absolutely beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The food was beautiful and the place itself is just lovely. I highly recommend this as a wedding venue. Brilliant �

Got married here in 2015 and have been back for both our 1st and 2nd anniversaries and planning to go back for our 3rd. An absolutely fantastic hotel with great staff and wonderful service which I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone.
