Wonderful family owned free house. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Well stocked bar. Well priced food served in pleasant restaurant. Best to make a booking as it is a very popular place. Made a return visit, just as enjoyable this time. Will be making a another visit next time we are in the area.
Lovely food all homemade. A quaint pub, with a restaurant attached. Quite decent prices and lovely staff.
Happened upon this place by chance and popped in for an early lunch. Sat in the downstairs, recently refurbished restaurant and it was lovely. A very pleasant area and the food was excellent. Service was great as well. The young lady serving us was polite, attentive and accommodating when we deviated slightly from a menu item.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch today , the food was delicious and the service very friendly. Had a takeaway lunch for my husband who was working he’s just finished it ! Really enjoyed it . No cooking for me 😊 win win . Thankyou to the chef and staff 🤗

Excellent pub/restaurant. Proper traditional pub with a restaurant area which is also very nice. Staff are very friendly. Food is excellent. Every single item is homemade and to perfection. The steak is a nice thick cut of ribeye and the cheesecake is beautiful. Would recommend highly.

A fantastic little pub. A great selection of food and drink. The pan fried chicken and bacon in cheese sauce, served with homemade chips was amazing.

Ordered a takeaway meal as not allowed dine in. Rang & ordered burger & chips, steak & Ale pie, 2 portions of onion rings as my partner is a big eater & thought it wouldn't fill him. Well he had to eat his words, even he couldn't eat all his meal. Ha,ha. The burger was delicious lovely meat with no fatty bits & thick bacon on top, came with lovely homemade chips, coleslaw & salad, the pie was lovely tender steak & I could actually taste the Ale, came with home made chips, generous amount of peas & gravey all in their own pots, we only needed one portion of onion rings as didn't eat it all. Can highly recommend, I only traveled 5mins & was piping hot as wrapped in foil, will definitely be trying something else from There. I collected in 20mins from ordering. Thank you.
Amazing food, cooked by qualified chef. All food is freshly cooked, roasted vegetables, proper mashed potatoes, roasted celeriac, which I'd never had before and it was lovely 😍. My husband had homemade steak pie, pictured, hand cut chips, lockwoods mushy peas, and Amazing jug of meat juice gravy. I had pork cutlet, apple mash, roasted vegetables and creamy leeks with a beautiful pork gravy. It was without fault. We were too full to eat a dessert, but we saw other diner's having homemade trifle and other homemade desserts. 😋. Highly recommended, cosy traditional pub with restaurant and very welcoming staff. Temperature control on the way in, so you can also feel safe in these current times. Definitely my place to go now
