Reviews The Observatory

I love the observatory however on this occasion the two young blonde waitresses that served us could have been more polite and attentive. We also asked for a drinks menu twice and never received it and had to go to the bar and order the drink, for the price I paid I expect better service. The afternoon tea itself is lovely however I would like options when it comes to the afternoon tea rather than it being a set menu as such. The stand I find very sweet and maybe customers would rather have more savoury things than so much sweet, pastries etc or a mixture of sweet and savoury. Please just give customers options rather than substitutes on theyre stand especially for the price. Not everyone eats the same thing.

The observatory is a special place at Christmas, tastefully decorated with panoramic views of the city. We enjoyed a festive afternoon tea. the scones were light and warm, the mince pie pastry was short and buttery and credit to the pastry chef as the desserts were delicious. Improvement required on the savoury side of things, sliced pan finger sandwiches with minimal filling is not what you expect from this establishment or for the price. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Great staff, fairly good cocktails. However, you are paying a premium for them. Considering the view, it's worth it.

Went here with friends for cocktails after a show at the Opera House. Highly recommend if visiting Belfast as the views are great. Plenty of staff who were helpful and friendly. Recommend

Absolutely loved this place! We didn't book and were extremely lucky to get a table. The cocktails were amazing and the decor and atmosphere of the bar were really sophisticated. We were celebrating our anniversary and it really felt like a special place for a celebratory drink. Would definitely return but I'd make sure we book next to make sure we're not disappointed 😉

This is an experience that everyone who comes to Belfast needs to go to and have a drink just for the views but its not for large party's who have already had a drink! Maybe have one or two here first then move on. Its very quiet and I think they like it that way.

The most professional, polite, and perfect wait staff in the world. Views are spectacular. I would be financially ruined if I had easy access to this place. It is an upscale experience that exceeds all expectations.

Great views of Belfast. Only drinks no food. Drinks cost a bit so you pay for the view

Exceptional 1st class service from the ground floor to our seat! Attentative, charismatic, and professional staff. A view that's a reward itself in a cosy atmospheric lounge. Food and drinks are at a premium price but worth it for the service and view.

My husband and I loved this place so much we went twice during our trip to Belfast. Absolutely gorgeous views out over the city and out to the hills and sea. The cocktails were delicious and the staff were charming.
