The Sunshine Takeaway has been a stalwart for diners along the Ormeau Road for decades. From a midweek treat for the family to an end of night top off to a couple of bevvys, this Chinese always hits the mark. Quality and quantity are adequate for the any person, although it's obvious that some people have larger guts to fill. Over 35 years and I have covered the full menu from start to finish and barring the vegetarian dishes, love every bite. Local user and only occasionally required delivery, no problems with this, waiting time is based upon the popularity of the takeaway and would happily defend waiting times. Some customers just seem to be a bit too pernickety but it needs to be a reminder to some that the Sunshine has been one constant and kept the Ormeau alive. Always the original and the best.
Really like this Chinese curry sauce is lovely as are the chicken balls and spring rolls !! Love the peking chicken but doesn't have a lot of sauce and i find the portions arent the best this is why i didn't gibe 5* !! Staff have always been polite and helpful. They have a great selection of meal deals and are very accommodating if i want to change something. Always had a quick Delivery! Would definitely recommend π
I order food from this takeaway from JustEat all the time and is always very fresh and good quality! Delivery is super fast and food warm. Never have problem whit this places! The best Chinese food in Belfast ! Good job! Thank you !
I always use the same Chinese and have done for years but last night I ordered from SUNSHINE a breast of chicken fried rice for my daughter and breast of chicken chow mein! I don't normally see a Chinese that uses the words "breast of chicken!
Both dishes were absolutely delicious! I hadn't used them before but they came up on the JUST EAT app and they are now my favourite Chinese by a mile. There were a lot of green peppers in the chow mein which I will ask for them not to be included but other than that...the best Chinese I have had for a long time.

It has extremely cheap prices and some of the dishes, like any Chinese, dip in quality. But overall pretty nice and good value for money
