Had a great day out wandering round the store for inspiration and ideas.
Unfortunately it seems it’s no longer a cheap place to go as the products did seem a lot more expensive than I remember.
The store is huge and you do feel yourself losing momentum by the end!
Decided to skip the cafe having read some of the other reviews. Worth a trip.
I haven't been to IKEA for a very long while now so it was great to walk through again.
I do prefer the layout they have in place now. The fitted kitchens are lovely and some new stock for chairs and shelves
The staff was friendly and attentive to customer needs. The store is busy especially on the weekend.
I have noticed as with most stores that the prices are up on most items. Fitted kitchens are still within reasonable prices
This place was enormous, my first IKEA experience was not a disappointment, could have easily redone the whole house, definitely plenty I plan to get.
The meatballs were also just as good as I expected.
Visited recently and had amazing service from Hildegarde - such a refreshing customer service experience. A lovely lady - couldn’t be more helpful and informative. Did I mention that she is 81?
Older generation have so much to offer (having a wealth of life experience) and but sadly overlooked. Fantastic to see IKEA leading the way.
We got to the restaurant just before closing and wer served very quickly. The restaurant staff cleaning up were very helpful when there was nowhere to out our used trays.
My only complaint was when we used the self-service check out when making our home goods purchase and while we were still getting our purchase off the till area another family were on top of trying to use the check out. They couldn't wait. The member of staff should have said something.
The Northern Irish Explorer
+5
Being within easy reach of Belfast and many of Northern Ireland's major towns, it is the ideal place to get elegant, stylistic furniture and supplies for a home or business.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and the shop is fairly easy to navigate. The restaurant is excellent, with the meatballs and desserts being absolutely delicious. There is also a cafe and a food market with a good selection of Swedish delicacies at fairly affordable prices.
Finally, there is the added reward of being able to watch planes take off and land into the City Airport, along with ships departing from the docks. Be sure to get a window seat in the restaurant for the best views.
Didn't have time to go around it all. Just there to get some inspiration! Nice soup in the cafe but the wheaten bread was a bit stale!
Take good walking shoes. A compass will also help when you walk into a room and say to yourself "I've been here before". The food was not good on the day we were there. I highly recommend you do your initial shopping online before you set foot in the store. Good luck
Loved my first time trip to IKEA, Belfast. Prices are affordable comparing to Amazon UK. There are wide range of products available. Best place to visit if you need to redesign or redecorate your home. One stop shop for all your house needs. Furniture and everything are set and arranged seasonally.
Good shopping experience and place to pick up ideas. Great designs and easy to build furniture. Lunch in the restaurant great value and fantastic views of Belfsst Cruise terminal and airport. Staff friendly and very helpful.
