Spence's Chip Shop - Belfast - Photo album

Visiting Belfast from Cincinnati, Ohio. Spences was a short walk from our AirB&B. It has by far the best fish and 🍟 in the UK. Eddie, the third generation owner, was friendly and we had a nice chat about George Best eating in this very chip shop growing up. If you up for some local flavor and
Best Fish and Chips in Northern Ireland. Classic spot although quite small. Check the times before you go as they close after lunch and reopen again for dinner. The pastie (deep friend meat pie) was a nice surprise too.
Great spot for fish and chips, delicious and crispy! The owner was very welcoming and helpful, and it had a nice, local atmosphere.
Eddie Spence's Fish and Chips - the best you will find anywhere. I've been going here since I was a kid and it hasn't changed. It looks the same and the quality is the best whatever you order. Fish is in a lovely golden batter and the chips are as the German Captain said he wanted in Dads Army " c
Have been using spences chip shop from a young lad, now 86 years old and still using now and then. BILL knows through my mate Roy.
Best fish and chips .
Found this chip shop via Google Maps on my first night in Belfast. I was staying along Templemore Avenue, it’s what a chip shop should be, lively, greasy and welcoming. Eddie asked what part of England my accent was from, politely I might add, and also what football team I supported, I confided I w
Going to Eddie's for year's the best chippie in Belfast
Best fish and chips in Belfast 😊😍
Good old fish n chips the way they should be. Still served in newspaper. Its been a while since I've been there but I will be going back. Without doubt the best chippy in Belfast
Been going here all of my life.. Best Fish and Chips in Belfast. Everything fried to order.. Simple menu, friendly service.. Always plenty of banter too! Hard to find a traditional saloon style chip shop like this any more.. Make sure and get down for a visit!
Great old style chippie with the old bench style seats and narrow tables, not many around these days. Always great fish and chips fresh out the fryer. Must be one of, if not the oldest chip shop in Belfast having been there since 1921 and as far as I know still owned by descendants of the original o
Bill provides a unique chip shop experience. The excellence of the best fish and chips in Belfast and the 'banter' from Bill harkenns back to a bygone era when proprietors knew their customers and provided exactly what they wanted. Long may it continue.
Always superb fish and chips, friendly staff and customers, great buzz, huge portions, best chippy in Belfast and not always open... Check opening times as you don't want to miss out. Oldschool Belfast chippy that cannot be beaten.
Make sure you cherish this place while you have it, because there aren't too many left. Beautiful service, food and amazing throwback.
It Maybe old but such a wealth of Belfast memorabilia to be had. Traditional Belfast chippy experience. Good craic with older patrons who have been coming to the same chip shop for 60 years or more. Food is great and William knows how to fry a mean fish. No sunflower oil here my friends, food is coo
Still the best tasting to me battered pasties in East Belfast, only place you can get them with a pinky filling that I know of, chicken breasts are well cooked and succulent at same time.
The link to the greatest footballer ever George Best.
Bought my first meal ever from this chippy, it was tasty, got a sausage supper, the chips were delicious πŸ˜‹ sausages of good quality. I will be back to try something different.
