As the only English people in this pub we were made to feel welcome, the harp was nice and had special offers on, they had a singer on during the day and at night and both finished with Penny Arcade if you know you know
Visited at the end of a long friday night and the place jumpin, everyone had been havin a grand evening lol. Local pub kinda vibe, good beer selection
The Royal Bar is a great little bar, friendly and welcoming, there’s always live music on there too with some great singers including a local guy called Bill McIntyre who has a fantastic voice, he’s a great guy who is very much in demand all over Belfast in the various clubs and bars etc.. you should definitely check him out as he plays all over Belfast throughout the week but especially every weekend.
The Royal Bar has a mixture of ages there, Friday nights seem to cater more for the younger ones but there was a mixture of all ages and the atmosphere was great. It’s a clean bar and the prices seemed to be very reasonable, but all in all I liked it in here and I’ll definitely be going back again many times over for sure!

Great little spot a few of us came up from Dublin . Went down the Shank for a few pints Walked into the Royal welcomed with open arms super friendly staff we sang a few songs and got a free round off the manager . A Gem...👌🏿

Now it's not strictly a pub I should go into but it's perfect ..great jump of location after a coffee going into town ...perfect pint of guiness .from the first one I had to the last..four I think..😝😝😝😝🥴

Ok. I have been in by accident but I was impressive not with the decor nor the music but the hospitality of regular patron and staff. For a tenner it will get you a pint and three shot of vodka plus mixer. If you looking to go big here is the place. don't let the political issue misconception you, go in have a good time and be less opinionate and you are in for a treat. Some local feel to it

Wandered around Belfast for a bit and found the Royal Bar. Best choice we made all week. Staff was friendly and got to know the owner and bartenders. Atmosphere is exactly what you would look for in a hometown bar. Looks completely different than Google Street View
