A spare of the moment gig booking while we were over in Belfast. A most excellent choice. Music was fantastic. Atmosphere was better. A relatively small venue for a gig. Which makes it perfect to have one.

Great looking cellar bar, with food, live music, live football and bar menu. I didn't go upstairs but heard the sounds of live music later on. Highly recommended.

We entered spontaneously for advertised live music. Great atmosphere, prompt service, friendly staff, delicious beer, and most importantly: Awesome live music and great crowd!

Solid spot for some pints and music. Nothing crazy either way but the aesthetic pushes it to four stars. Service was quick before it got busy and the pint came from a can so I can't speak to the quality. Haven't had the food.

Status Quo tribute band. Excellent! Fab night and music far exceeded my expectations...I'd go so far as to state that they are even better than the originals! Brilliant group of people! Check them out and don't miss the next gig-I won't! 5* all round!

Fantastic place in Belfast to hear live music or comedy. It's based on 2 floors, with a balcony on the upper floor. There's a bar on each floor and on the balcony. It's has an area with outside seating. Good to visit anytime to watch sport or have a meal. It's not the cheapest place for a beer, but it's the entertainment that brings you here.

Really love this place. Was a private function so we had outside caterers which was lovely. Great atmosphere and beautiful building. One of my favourite places. Train station right next door too!

Great place for a nice night out. Comedy or rock music this is a cool wee place to visit. Great staff and it's local to everything at Shaftesbury Square. Start the night off in here or end it with a song to rock your self home to. Has that old bar feeling but inside looks brand new. Definitely a place to visit if your visiting Belfast City.

Love the Empire. Beautiful building, intimate sized room for a gig, iconic Belfast venue. One star off because while the sound system is good, whatever way the acoustics are, it can get very noisy when people are talking during the gig. Seen many, many fabulous artists here over the years. Always love coming to the Empire. Photos here, Liam O'Maoinli and Hothouse Flowers

The best night we went to one of the comedy shows. 🤣 never laughed so much ever. It was brilliant. Really lovely venue and not too pricey considering it's belfast and 2023🙄🤣I would advise if your going on a Tuesday to any of the empire laughs back shows to turn up early to get a seat.

Famous Belfast pub / music club. Generous space in the impressive old building. They serve good offer of local beers and ales on tap. To be honest... Very Good! Empire Music Hall is located just next to the Botanic train staion. Kids are not allowed obviously.

The Empire is a very beautiful place and has a great selection of free live music downstairs in the evenings. They also show sport (I hate that, but the screens disappear when the music starts- good!) Upstairs there is a varied selection of live paid gigs- their comedy nights are legendary. The drink is expensive and you cannot take drink from the downstairs to up, or vice versa. The staff are generally lovely.
