Amazing food and friendly staff. We were only in Belfast for 3 days celebrating our 25th anniversary in August so googled this restaurant which was only round the corner from our hotel. We love taster menus and no Michelin restaurants were open so this was perfect find for a Monday at short notice.
We had never been to Six by Nico before however would go back! Inside had a great vibe and all the staff were really friendly. The food was phenomenal, you could tell every dish had been thought through, everything tasted amazing. Great value for money.
They considered my intolerance to garlic. We loved it thank you.
The menu was great. Playful, smart modern cooking around a fun theme. The food looked beautiful but also tasted fabulous and the six course tasting menu was AMAZING value. My other half had the veggie menu while I had the standard and said that veggies were also really well catered for. I would recommend and would definitely return if back in the area.

Our night was excellent. We had the "Once Upon A Time" menu with the wine pairing and tried every item on the menu.
Fully enjoyed each course from start to finish, and although not a huge fan of red wine they complemented the respective dishes well. My favourite courses were 3 and 6; "I Like Them Sam-I-Am" (Smoked Ham Hough) and "Brucey Brucey" (Chocolate Cremeux).
Can also recommend the "Ugly" Dumplings snack and the "Glass Slipper" and "Enchanted Butterbrew" cocktails.
Atmosphere was lovely and the staff were for the most part lovely. Conor made the night, good craic and very helpful!
The stars I'm withholding on service are for the woman at the front of the house. She didn't seem interested at all, and honestly was quite rude. I had a gift card, which I made her aware of upon arrival. After asking to confirm it was in date, i showed her the email to prove validity (explicitly printed valid until December) only to be met with "Well, we'll have to check that" in a discourteous and somewhat condescending tone.
Would certainly go back to try other menus, but her attitude talked them out of a tip.
Very busy but unsurprising as food is amazing. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and service is so quick and attentive. My 4th visit and can't wait for the next one!

The experience was good and food was lovely, however the staff need more enthusiasm and training.
First time here. Not what I was expecting which was a quieter and a more sophisticated experience. The theme was Japanese and maybe a more suitable background music should have been a calming Japanese style rather than the throbbing beat of contemporary western music.
However, the six course tasting menu with wines was delightful. When the first course came I thought I might be leaving hungry and after 30 minutes but I was wrong. Each course, although small, was a beautiful combination of flavours and textures. The choice of wines were an excellent accompaniment. My 30 minutes turned into 2 hours.
So overall a lovely menu and selection of wines with great service. It is noisy so conversation is not easy and the tables are close so maybe not the first choice for a romantic dinner. Would I go again? The food was great but the atmosphere was intrusive so not sure.

Went for Trust your Chef experience which was consisting of 10 course meal where you don't know what you are going to get served. That was the best part of it, not knowing. My partner and I are food lovers and we love to try new and different things so this was pretty cool experience for us.
I gotta say we enjoyed it very much even some of the courses were "different" especially combos where sweet things would meet savoury ingredients. Don't want to spoil it for anyone, however if you like adventurous food then i highly recommend this meal.
We have been in this restaurant before and as before we liked it very much there. Lovely atmospehere where chefs/cooks are preparing your courses in front of your eyes if you will look around you.
I have to highlight our server, i think his name is Lorens! He is exactly what you would expect from top notch server at this kind of event! Very friendly, patient with our questions and very knowledgeable.
Thanks to this restaurant we again experienced something for the first time which turned out to be amazing event!
We had a really lovely experience here, trying the Hollywood menu. Food was immaculately presented, with fast and efficient service and all was delicious.
My dining companions and I all have hearing loss and the staff were fantastic in accommodating us. Special mention to Patrick for really taking the time and effort to make sure that we were taken care of and fully understood everything.
If I lived in Belfast, I would absolutely frequent Nico's, particularly with special guests. The food is just top notch. Every course I tried was delicious. The service was thorough and friendly. The servers all work as a team to make sure each patron is taken care of.
The menu rotates about every four weeks and the creativity of the menu, the visual presentation and the thought and reflection put into the meals is inspiring.
Definitely try out Nico's if you are in the area. I recommend making a reservation in advance.
Really enjoyed the Hanoi 6 course tasting menu. A great introduction to Vietnamese food. Every course was beautifully presented and so tasty. Couldn’t say which was my favourite as they were all soooo good. Service was excellent. Ellen who introduced us the Vietnamese menu was so professional and friendly. Atmosphere was buzzing. Such lovely vibes. Will definitely return.

I was so excited to experience six by Nico when I saw they were releasing a Japanese inspired menu I just had to book!! I had my meal tonight and WOW, I was blown away.
This is the first time experiencing dining like this (ie Michelin star portions etc) and I was not disappointed with the amount of food as every meal packed a punch and I felt like I had a traditional 3 course meal walking away.
My favourites were the Okonomiyaki (pork and prawn pancake) and the Tonkatsu (and ofcourse the dessert)
It truly is worth every penny and even if you think the portion sizes aren’t big, what you get is well worth it and every mouthful blew me away
A* service and knowledge on the dishes by the staff, props to them because it must be difficult to learn all about these new menus every 6 weeks
Absolutely loved this Neverland experience except for the food fight dish as the chicken wasn't cooked properly 😑 it was soft and rubbery 🤮 The rest of the dishes were delish 😋 and the variety of wines served were very tasty too. It was an expensive night but worth it for our celebration x
Myself and a friend booked in for 2:45 pm on a Sunday, we both got the main (meat) menu, a strawberry cider and we shared a side. The staff were amazing, very friendly and smiley, full of information and really efficient. The six courses as a whole were amazing! My favourite dish was the sea bass, followed by the moussaka, although everything was really tasty! The six courses and a shared side really had us full and they offered breaks between courses if we wanted to take a breath which we appreciated! We 100% will be back again! The price was very affordable for the experience! :)
Initial impressions were not great, as service was extremely slow and somewhat awkward with what felt like a very wooden atmosphere.
Things did pick up once drinks were served and the food started arriving.
Our waitress Rebecca was lovely and knowledgeable, explaining each dish in detail.
While some of the courses weren't to my taste, one can't fault the quality and skill that went into each dish.
In conclusion, it was an enjoyable expensive experience and though we most likely won't return; it was an interesting evening.

We visited Six By Nico for the Paris experience in Nov 2021 and the food was fabulous! Couldn't fault a single thing I ate and the wine pairings were fantastic. It was a wonderful experience!
My only criticism is that given elegant presentation of the food & drink and the quality of the food, I would except the waiters to know not to lean across a customer when serving their dishes.
Fabulous night tonight. Really enjoyed our Catalonia experience - both vegetarian and classic menus.
Our server Rhiannon made our night, she was excellent and very attentive. She's a star!
