We went to No.36 after recommendations from our Air BnB hosts. What a lovely little place. The staff were all so welcoming, we were attended to immediately as we arrived. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere so warm and relaxing. I had the ulster fry and my friend had some pancakes. Both very good options. Highly recommend No.36 to anyone and we will definitely be back again.

Amazing food tbh, lots of new and interesting flavours. Service was okay. Coffee not that good, I got a burnt flat white

As a customer I thoroughly enjoyed the wide selection of food, I’m unsure of the quality as after I leave I’m left feeling hungry shortly afterwards even after eating a big meal. Quite a busy little cafe often enough, not ideal if you have anxiety. Tiny one toilet has a baby changer which is helpful but had water spilled on floor due to leak from sink maybe? (this is a common occurrence). Service is very attentive and on the go. As being a potential employee, I’d a trial shift here and didn’t hear back at all even though they’d had extremely positive feedback to tell me about the shift and told me to wait a few days for a call that would either tell me if I got the job or not…I didn’t receive a call at all…extremely disappointed by being left waiting.

Busy little gem with a gorgeous brunch menu. I had the toasted sour dough which as you can see was 10/10.

Wow wow wow. Ian and the kitchen team have done a tremendous job with the cafe, food is top tier, Great service for FOH as well, even though they were extortionately busy they were able to manage the floor very well, Was in to do a bit of business work over lunch and the place was run fluidly. Amazing 10/10

Myself and a friend went to No.36 for lunch following a recommendation from a friend. We did have our 2 babies with us and being a small cafe we weren't sure we would be able to fit in. I went in to check whilst my friend waited outside with the babies and we were greeted my a lovely waitress - initially she didn't think she would be able to accommodate us but before I left someone left a table by the window. The waitress followed me out and said that a customer was leaving and thankfully the table that they were leaving was large enough to accommodate us and our children without us getting in the way. We were grateful and I went outside to let my friend know that they had space for us. As we returned a lady from another table had moved to the one the waitress was getting ready for us. The waitress politely explained that she had already reserved this table for us and we would not fit at the table that this woman had moved from - the woman was not happy at all. She made us feel very uncomfortable and was very rude and horrible to the poor waitress. Despite her rudeness and hostility the waitress tried to then accommodate this woman at the table that she was demanding as other customers were leaving but this woman had already got a bee in her bonnet and wasn't going to stay. I felt so terrible for the waitress - she honestly did nothing wrong. The woman was clearly having a bad day and took it out on her. The waitress was apologetic despite it not being her fault at all. Once this mean lady had left the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, food was delicious and we couldn't fault it. Thank you so much for your hospitality and I hope your future customers will be kinder and more understanding than this lady. I commend the staff with how they handled this. I see that she has left a review and it wouldn't feel right for no.36 to be penalised because of this woman so hopefully this makes the situation clearer. We were a table of 4 and not a table of 2 like she stated on her review.

Most likely to be the best brunch spot in Belfast! Food is that great that makes you wish you could just sit in and order everything from their menu. Love it

I got once a week with my partner for the last 6 months or so and never had a complaint, until the usual servers left and the servers recently haven’t had very good manners and could look less than interested in anything and more rushed , just downs the experience since we love the place

Veggie breakfast was wonderful and the Irish open breakfast got 5 stars too. Very busy but staff were so efficient. We were lucky with a table but expect a wait. It's worth it 👌

Busy breakfast morning yesterday. Greeted at the door, the staff were very friendly and apologised in advance for any delays as it was extremely busy. This already set the expectation and was okay as we were not in a rush. The staff were very busy but were never flustered. The one waiter was brilliant with the smaller kids, always made them smile and gave great service to everyone. Our food arrived and seemed amazing upon being presented to us. It tasted 🤩. Great breakfast and great staff. Competition is tight on Belmont Road but No 36 seems to have set the bar quite high for the others to follow.

I love eating out at this place. Anything I have ever ordered has been really tasty. My hubby is really fussy and he loves their food too. The coffee is really nice and aromatic and staff are really friendly. I think this cafe has the best food in East Belfast! My son loves their Belgian waffles the most!
