Mchughs Bar & Restaurant - Belfast - Photo album

Apparently the oldest building in town also has a nice pub. This place is everything one would expect of an Irish pub. Nice decor, friendly service, family oriented before 9 pm, good beers and nice outside area to enjoy the refreshments on a sunny day. Highly recommend to visit.
Located in the oldest building in Belfast, McHugh's offers the perfect taste of Northern Ireland. Whether it's Guinness or Irish Red, the beer is perfect with a bowl of traditional Irish Stew. Great place! A must in Belfast.
We had the steak on the hot stone. Amazing experience. Servers were slow at follow up with food, drinks and dessert. Not to mention the bill.
I had a fish and chips and an IPA from a local brewery. Before choosing a drink, the waitress offered me some tastings of the beer to be able to decide. Thank you for the lovely service and the amazing food😊
We stumbled upon this place on our first day in Belfast. I spent two weeks in Ireland and roamed the entire country. This was the best meal I had! The bangers and mash were just exceptional! Such rich deep flavor and wonderful, friendly service. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t be disappoi
Quiet for a Monday which was enjoyable, it’s a nice interior with two floors. The bartenders were very nice and had some food suggestions as well as beers and some things to do around city. I had the Irish meatballs and it was very good, the sauce was rich and hearty with two good pieces of bread. T
One star less....little pricey. This dates back to 1711. A with traditional bar and live music. Enjoy your Irish dining.
Absolutely amazing!! Staff so friendly, helpful and genuinely happy to work there. So much history in the pub. Just such a relaxing, family feeling to the pub and very welcoming. Seàn was a lovely bloke, very helpful and brilliant service. Even gave a little tour of the building and told us the hist
Happened on McHughs and glad we did. The oldest building in Belfast houses a nice Irish pub with a fantastic selection of pints along with good food and really friendly staff. A super chill vibe altogether. Can’t wait to go back!
We stopped here for a bite to eat, and it didn't disappoint. Food was lovely and very good portion sizes at a very reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and entertaining. Highlight was the trad band who came in and started playing. Wished we could have stayed longer!!
What a place, come over to belfast for two nights and we went here the first night, we liked it that much we went again the second night. Staff brilliant and on the second night we had a right good chat with Sean who was so knowledgeable and great to talk to. The food is fantastic, so tasty and huge
Brilliant! Best meal I’ve had while visiting Ireland. The rock top steak experience was amazing and allowed for me to cook my steak exactly how I like. The side of colcannon and leek bacon sauce was delicious. My husband got the lamb shank and it was equally as great. The staff was great and friendl
Amazing pub. Only place I wanted to be in Belfast. Great people working bar. Amazing food.
Love love loved it!! Traditional Irish bar oozing with history and atmosphere, along with warm, friendly welcome from staff. We were lucky enough to enjoy 2 different traditional musician groups playing and singing beautiful folk music. And actually think they just meet up to jam together, not booke
Wonderful visit here. Service dropped off as we coincidentally were there during a shift change, and our waitress went home. But the food was FANTASTIC, and way beyond pub grub. Roast Duck, Sausage and mash, etc. Great atmosphere. Truly enjoyed our trip to McHughs!
Nice place, good location. Shame they don't have Smithwicks... But Guinness was ok!
First time at the weekend to. See Jet Black Tulips play in the basement. We sat upstairs in the bar for a while before hand, full or character with love music. Staff were great, everywhere was clean and atmosphere was brilliant.
Great atmosphere. Went with the McHugh's Boxties and a side order of wings. My dish was great, Beef strips in black pepper sauce with onions and mushrooms topped with a couple of onion rings. Also, I had two local brews. The wife got the Cumberland sausage and cabbage. It was a little too sweet a
