Their lunch menu is excellent value - 2 courses for £9.80. I recommend the signature starter (salt/chilli prawns) followed by the duck with crispy noodles.
I visited a few months in April!
Servers were really busy yet were so attentive too. The waitress noticed I was wearing a dress and placed a folded napkin on my lap when serving the food and drink🥹 So lovely!
Cocktails were amazing! Credits to the bartender. Great taste and lovely glassware
I recommend the Traditional Duck Pancakes to share, Sizzling stuffed Aubergine and the Braised Pork Belly. Definitely order a few dishes to share!
Heard good things about this place regarding the food but it didn't live up to expectation... Service was very slow to start, having seen people that came in after us getting served first.... Food was OK nothing spectacular... Ordered the, what I thought was crispy shredded chicken (peking style) with egg fried noodles... It was more like chicken chunks and it was overdone like the squid... Pure rubber... Crab meat soup I had for a starter... Was alright... I lv crab but barely tasted of it and left a funky taste in ur mouth... Texture was weird aff to lol I had a cocktail (peach seduction) didn't have any complaints about it. was delightful but at tenner a pop they are quite expensive. Prawn crackers where nommmm
Impeccable service and delicious food. This is my
Go-to Chinese in Belfast and it never fails to deliver. Try something a bit different off their menu, you’ll never be disappointed. The star dish for me is the crispy shredded Honey Pepper chicken.
We went for a family lunch to celebrate a big birthday. The staff were super helpful, friendly and patient with our excited 2year old.
The food was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try more.
Really busy (good sign) with a fast friendly efficient service the staff are lovely the food is top notch we really enjoyed our visit and will most certainly return (well done house of zen)
First time in Belfast and managed to get a booking here for a Saturday night at 9pm. Definitely worth the wait and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The service was very attentive with friendly staff and great atmosphere inside.
Food was delicious. Just a pity we arrived in the evening as they had a midweek offer on until 6.45pm which meant their 3 course menu would have been more of a bargain price wise. With that said at least we now know. Was our first time coming. Food was worth what we paid anyways.
The service was quick, efficient and incredibly professional. I ordered a non alcoholic 3 fruit smoothie that tasted like it had alcohol in it which I alerted the staff to. They were kind enough to make me a fresh one in a clean glass and apologised. Good customer service 👍
We will definitely be back and told them as much when we had settled the bill. Top notch restaurant. I've only uploaded a few of the photos we took.
Have been coming to House of Zen for years and it is always on my top list of things to do. Beautiful food, great staff and in a really lovely part of the city.
Was there on Sunday 29-1-23 had a gorgeous meal and it was great value for money and am looking forward to my next visit
Took advantage of the great lunch offer for a large group which has a great range of choices. Thee food was wonderful and service was really efficient and friendly. Strongly recommend the pork dumplings.
The two course lunch menu is unbeatable value. The food is always incredibly tasty, and the staff is very friendly and polite. The cocktails are also great.
Got 2 starters instead of a main, wasn't disappointed. Dim Sum here is delicious, I preferred the Xiao Long Bao (Pork). Questionable surprise carrot should be mentioned. Staff very attentive for large group, had our own private space out the front. House of Zen had its own craft beer too which was tasty! No complaints from the rest of rhe group, everyone enjoyed their food!
Absolutely fantastic meal, great variety of food and as a big party we tried a lot - it was all great, well cooked and presented and served with a smile. The asparagus wrapped in slow cooked brew was fantastic. It's not the cheapest place but the quality of the food makes it good value. Beautifully decorated inside, too, with a nice vibrant atmosphere.
