The Crown is one of the most iconic places in Belfast which lends itself to being a great place for a large group to meet up. When you work with guys from all over the country it's the place everyone knows. So whenever we have a lads day out in Belfast we always make it the Crown. If you are lucky enough and get a booth then your landed as it can be quite busy, standing room only. There is no end of tourists popping in for a pint but in my book that's great to see. Have a pint and some foreign culture I say. Cheers.
A must go if you are in Belfast. One of the oldest pubs in Northern Ireland and a gorgeous place to sit and sip some Irish beer. Decor is amazing with authentic wooden work from the 1800s. Cozy with old school booths and great service. Loved it here!
During my research for good restaurant / Pub while heading to Belfast - Crown Saloon stood out to be the oldest and best place to visit with family and friends. It was little disappointing as we had to visit twice - becoz the saloon does not take reservations / pre-bookings and it was full as early as 17:30 hours on day-1. Also not many options of veggies as it goes for non-veg with platter full. however, I indeed relished starters - macaroni cheese / chips with skin with tomato onion soup followed by hand-pressed veg burger. My companions were excited and spoilt for choices with wide variety of non-veggies and relished all time fav fish & chips, steaks and Caesar salad with house wine. I have extra sweet tooth for brownies, so my adventure ended with warm choco brownie. Overall, it was good experience in one of the oldest pub in the city.
Friendly advice : Don't rush , just take your time to relish you meal and enjoy the moment! (the dining table is yours for that whole evening) :}
