The Raj is a delightful Indian restaurant that takes diners on an authentic culinary adventure through the flavors of India. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of savoring their chicken korma, and I must say it was truly delicious. While the food deserves high praise, there were a few aspects that left room for improvement.
Let's start with the highlight of my meal—the chicken korma. The dish was a symphony of flavors, combining tender chicken pieces with a rich and creamy sauce that was perfectly seasoned. The aromatic spices danced on my palate, creating a harmony of taste that delighted my senses. Paired with fragrant rice, the combination was truly satisfying and left me craving for more.
The Raj excels in providing a diverse menu with a wide range of Indian culinary delights. From traditional curries to tandoori specialties, there is something to suit every palate. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall dining experience, ensuring that my needs were met and making me feel welcome throughout my visit.
However, one aspect that slightly detracted from the overall experience was the tired decor of the restaurant. While the focus should primarily be on the food, the ambiance plays a significant role in creating a memorable dining experience. The Raj's decor felt a bit dated and in need of some refreshing. With a few updates, such as fresh paint or updated furnishings, the restaurant could truly elevate the dining atmosphere to match the excellence of its culinary offerings.
Nonetheless, it is important to note that the quality of the food at The Raj overshadows any concerns regarding the decor. The flavors and authenticity of their dishes transport diners to the vibrant streets of India, and the warm hospitality adds a personal touch to the dining experience.
Went for a family dinner last night at The Raj and the food and service were top-class, the tandoori chicken was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to go back. We can't wait to go back.

Had dinner here on a Saturday, Roshani was our favourite dish, one of the best naans we’ve had in a while. Would highly recommend!
I don't know why Indians don't have mint dip on menus? But i asked in my online order comments to throw one in... delivered with another lovely pickle dip.Special Biryani, all delicious and delivered within 45mins on a saturday night.

This is the second time I've been here, once to celebrate a family birthday and the next to celebrate my own. On both occasions the service and food quality were both excellent. My family told me the food here was the best they had had in an Indian restaurant. I would have to agree!
Atmosphere is quiet due to only a few customers eating in, which I cannot understand as the food is top notch, although this was a Monday night so that may be why it wasn't so busy.
I have only ever gotten takeout from here, however it is top quality Indian food, very friendly and welcoming staff and reasonably priced.
The food was amazing and so fresh. We got the groupon deal and it was well worth the money. A good choice of food to choose from.
The food was nice, spicy as it should be. No problems there. Slow service - literally everyone sat at their table only with a pint waiting for their food to come.

I noticed this Restaurant through a friend, and during all of my three visits I never have been disappointed.
The food is fresh, high-quality and doesn’t disappoint in taste. I am not lying when I say I always enjoyed the food, 100%. This restaurant has become a special friend for my friends and me, and I recommend it to everybody.
