Title: Outstanding Seafood Experience! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: I recently embarked on a road trip across Ireland, driving from Dublin to Belfast, and I must say, dining at this standalone seafood restaurant was an absolute delight! It easily surpassed even some of the 5-star hotels I had the pleasure of visiting during my journey. The moment I tasted the Japanese Oysters, I was blown away by their exceptional freshness and tantalizing flavor. Each bite was a testament to the impeccable quality of the seafood served here. The squids were equally impressive, prepared to perfection and bursting with delectable taste. For our main course, we opted for the Haddock fish and chips, as well as the sea bass dishes. Both choices exceeded our expectations in every way. The Haddock fish and chips were flawlessly cooked, boasting a delightful crunch on the outside while maintaining tender, flaky fish on the inside. As for the sea bass, its succulent texture and harmonious blend of flavors left us longing for more. The overall dining experience was truly remarkable. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the service was top-notch, ensuring our needs were met with utmost care and attention. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft, enhancing the entire experience. In conclusion, if you're a seafood lover seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure, I highly recommend visiting this establishment. From the incredible freshness of the Japanese Oysters to the mouthwatering Haddock fish and chips and sea bass dishes, every aspect of our meal was outstanding. This seafood restaurant deserves nothing less than five stars, and I can't wait to return on my next visit to Ireland!

What we ordered? 1. Barbecue Teriyaki King Prawns (GF) — £13.95 2. Award-winning Fish & Chips — £19.50 3. Seafood Linguine — £18.95 4. Fish City Kiev — £22.95 My initial visit left a strong impression. The fish's freshness stood out, and every dish was truly scrumptious. The restaurant's well-designed decor and cleanliness enhanced the experience. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

We came for a walk in on a Saturday night and honestly had an incredible seafood dinner. Barry, our server, was lovely and provided us with some great recs and overall a good experience. The dessert is not to be missed - the chocolate delice (for true chocolate lovers) and the cheesecake are SO worth it. (Unfortunately I only got one picture)

We went before a gig on a beautiful sunny warm Sunday evening (11/06/23) and it did not disappoint. I heard great things so I was eager to try. I had the sea bass... Pan Seared Fillet of Sea Bass, Chorizo & Garlic Parisienne Gnocchi, Pea & Charred Leak Purée, Panko Crumbed Poached Egg, Green Pea & Chorizo Fricassée, Popcorn Capers, Lemon Oil...my mouth is watering even thinking of it now. Absolutely delicious. Who ever did my panko crumbed poached egg, thank you! It was Perfect and I'm fussy on my poached eggs. The chips were so nice too. Friends had the fish tacos which went down a treat, another had 2 entrees as their main which was the prawns and seafood chowder and the other had fish and chips. Everyone was so satisfied. All the staff were lovely and accommodating. I can't wait to go back!

Great place in the heart of Belfast, the "Award Winning" fish was really tasty and fresh, but the way it was plated left it a bit greasy on the bottom, which made it a little soggy to pick up, you had to use a fork. The chips were merely ok. The service was fantastic and the food came out quickly.

Excellent, friendly service and beautiful presentation but food not of the standard I would expect for the price charged. Mackerel ceviche was nothing like any ceviche I have ever had. No fine slices or chopped up fish. Just a chunk of bitter mackerel, unseasoned, with charred skin. Dish was overwhelmed by too much red onion and a very sharp vinegar dressing. Went for roasted hake special as my main which looked great. All accompaniments were lovely but the hake was dry and tough. Such a pity! However my friend had the steamed dim sung followed by linguine which were both delicious. I think the fish and chips would have been a better choice for me.

Was hoping for fish tacos, however they don't sell them anymore. Settled for the prawn tacos. Absolutely gorgeous. Sitting outside with an Irish Blonde ale was the ticket. Everything is of a high standard.

Good sit in fish and chips. Staff were friendly, and the service was quick. Noticed most reviews moaning about price... this is what I would expect to pay for a sit-in meal, but most people seem to be comparing it to a takeaway meal... of course it's going to cost more, they have more overheads to pay than a little chipper!!! Plus you do get unlimited chips. Great central location as well. Spirits are slightly overpriced, hence the 4 stars, but beer and wine are fine.

Visited 05/01/2023 to eat in at lunch time, met by Barry as we entered who met our needs and sat us downstairs and obtained a high chair for our granddaughter who came with. Service was spot on and food came quickly and as you can see from the pictures well presented I loved the unlimited chips option with the fish n chips. I’d say the mushy peas portion that comes with is a tad small, luckily the eldest didn’t want hers so all good 👍🏽 but if your not so lucky I’d order some more to enjoy the meal more. The vegetarian Thai Green Curry was flavoursome and not too big a spicy kick 👌🏽🍛 also the portion is a great size and definitely fulfilling. One thing to add an international customer came later and sat nearby and Barry offered to get the menu translated, now that folks is another level of service I’ve certainly not experienced before and he was back in a flash with a tablet ready to translate, luckily the customers already used google translate and we’re away but this has stuck with me around a natural non forced way of service to a customer and for me absolute winner 🏆 I have been before but never during day, usually in evening so menu was smaller but loved Fish City and will continue to visit when over in Northern Ireland visiting family, highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great restaurant! I had the garlic prawn tacos and my wife had cod risotto. We both really enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent. Highly recommend.
