My son and I ordered up a couple of fish suppers' from Fryer Tucks. Had to wait close to ten minutes whilst the fish was deep fried. Anyway, chips placed in separate cardboard boxes with each fish portion in it's own cardboard box. Each supper contained two nice sized haddock with lovely crispy (practically grease free) fish. On biting into the pretty fleshy fish we were very pleasantly surprised to actually get a taste of fresh haddock. Very nice indeed! Overall, the fish was very good indeed and way above average. Chip portions are a good size, pretty decent chips in general though not the top of the line. Not soggy nor greasy, but not super crisp on outside either. Each supper was £6.00 at time of review, so excellent value for money. We would certainly go back for more! Staff nice and friendly also. So much fish that we both had a tough time eating it all!
Had an order last night, fish was delicious, best I've had in a long time, we had also ordered a panini which was out of stock, but Friar Tucks phoned me to ask about a substitute, which we accepted, it was also delicious, my granddaughter had one of the kids meals and was delighted with it, was delivered within a reasonable time and delivery driver found my house with no trouble (which isn't always the case, as we are rural), all in all I'm impressed and will be ordering again! Well done!
Apart from the usual, I buy fresh haddock here and it's lovely....friendly helpful staff and the have a new hot counter now.
