Warm and friendly staff. Even the small grey haired Sapper, lol. Veteran and family-friendly. Food is above and beyond yummy. Close to the canal and lock, if there is one pub in the area you want to visit, it's this one.

Lovely beer garden with a good art exhibition in stables. Staff were great, very warm and welcoming. Good prices and options on tap. Roast dinner was OK, with nice yorkies, but veggie option was pretty poor. Expected a nut roast or something alternative, not a roasted half of a butternut squash. Bi

We were on a canal boat and just called in. Good beer selection.. Some of our crew wanted to eat, but that day they had several private partido in, even so they still managed to cook some PROPER chips. Great pub

Outstanding Sunday roast, friendly helpful staff, made us feel very welcome. We'll return next time I'm due to see my daughter in Beeston, Uni life for her.

A group of 14 of us went to Boat & horses today. They were warm & hospitable, and made us feel welcome from the start. We had an amazing buffet served for us, and all in all, a great time was had. Cheers to the landlord...we'll be back!

We went to lesley's 70th b Birthday here, it had a great sized function room. Dj and cj jackson was a great singer and made our night. Great food and company made our night.

Lovely Sunday lunch great selection of vegetables cooked to perfection. Good quality house red and a warm welcome.

Cracking pub with a great atmosphere, went to an event here a few weeks ago and they couldn’t have been more organised and helpful

Newly taken over recently it still sells all the old beers plus 4 casks. The atmosphere was better than on my previous visit. It’s more like a pub again. Not tried the food on this visit but I did look at the menus. I’ll be back.
