We were recently in the area and had dinner here. The staff are really friendly (on the phone and in person) and it is dog friendly. Even though you sit in the bar area with the dog it is so nice that it seems more like being in a restaurant. Great food and caters for vegans. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back later in the week and were not disappointed. Recommend booking as it was busy even mid week.

A four night stay at Laird's House was excellent. The location was ideal to explore the area. Our room was on the top floor and had dual aspect views. To the front was the high street via a velux style window and to the rear via bi-folding windows. There was a separate bath in the room but also a shower room. The bed was lovely and comfortable and a large TV is also a bonus feature as often it is a small affair. We dined at Laird's House restaurant 3 out of the 4 nights ( caught a show in Newcastle on the other night). The food was fantastic. It has a lovely cosy bar and is extremely dog friendly. The breakfasts were equally as nice as the restaurant food we ate. All the the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Laird's House.

Gluten free Sunday lunch was excellent. My daughter is used to having roast without yorkies, so was pleasantly surprised when it came with gluten free options. We called in on a miserable Sunday, we got their early and it was quiet, but filled up while we ate. We were welcomed in the bar with our dogs and there was a lovely open fire. We had all 3 courses, I was a bit disappointed with the liver pate starter, it came with 2 tiny pieces of bread and was freezing cold (I know it's cold food, but it was almost frozen), but everything else we had was excellent, the veg had a lovely crunch and the crackling on the pork was divine!! I was last there in April and service was great but food was very mediocre, when I said this to the person taking the payment, she shrugged and said sometimes the chef has an off day. which is why we hadn't been back in so long. It's a real shame if it's hit and miss like that.

Two sets of relatives had superlative rooms whilst ours was a box room so an average of 4 stars for our experience. Our party had an exceptional evening meal on a Saturday but the Sunday lunch did not impress. Whilst the breakfasts were OK we must mention that all the staff we met were helpful and friendly.

Excellent stay for 3 nights recently. The room was spot on, very clean, huge bed and decorated beautifully. Lovely to hear the live music in the garden. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent cocktails. Breakfast was good, would definitely stay again next time we are up north.

My daughter and I have a lovely one night stay in this charming hotel. We decided quite late to look for a hotel and eventhough we rang late in the evening the person on the phone was incredibly nice and waited for us to arrive. The room was soo nice, with antique style furniture, free standing bath, and a super comfortable bed. Also the cleanliness was at the highest of standards. Had breakfast in the morning and it was soo nice - I asked for a small size one as I usually do not have any breakfast in the mornings, but the portion was still very nice and the taste was great. The whole of the hotel looks like a little gem. All in all it was we had a very good experience, with super friendly staff and all of the above. Highly recommended :0)

Superb, friendly pub, restaurant and hotel. Food is absolutely fantastic and well priced. Drinks served to perfection and dog friendly to boot. Ample, free parking out of the rear and the rooms are something else, several with free standing baths, all with huge smart TV's. Plus bi-fold windows on the top floor.

We used lairds house as a bar on monday night as we live locally and it’s was lovely. I have had food here before and it’s lovely. The chicken wings are HUGE! The setting is perfect and right on Bedlington front street. Will definitely be back.

We had our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast at Lairds House. From the very start the owners and staff were very accomodating in helping us plan and organise the event. On the day, everything went smoothly without a hitch. The food was amazing. All the guests commented on the quality of the dishes. Colin, Gareth, Marie and the team helped make our day special. Lairds House is a 'hidden' treasure.
