Absolutely fab find for a room. Recommended to us and definitely worth a stay. Just a shame we couldn't really take advantage of the room more. And top it off complimentary breakfast (anything off the brunch menu) with hot and cold drinks both included which we weren't aware of until we checked in. The value of the inclusive breakfast, impeccable size, decor and cleanliness of the room, combined with thoughtful, friendly and welcoming staff makes this place stand out above many corporate mainstream hotel brands.

The place was immaculate and loved all the little extras we got in the bathroom and in the room.
The bath and shower was divine and the beds was so comfortable, had the best couple of nights sleep I've had in ages!
The location is lovely and veiw from our room was to 🥰.
Didn't hear any of the other guests or noise from our room.
The staff was brilliant and seen to all of our needs and went out of their way for us.
I will definitely be coming back again soon!

Room was pure luxury. Fabulous view of the river outside the window. Superb furnishings, including Bath in the bedroom, easy chair, desk, rainfall shower, tea & coffee facility.
Customer service was excellent and the food delicious.

Absolutely loved staying here, we stayed in a lovely suit with a massive bathroom that had a spacious shower and bath. I loved the old fashioned style rooms but you can tell it has been refurbished so wasn’t at all in bad shape for an old building!
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and as soon as we told them this we got a complementary glass of Prosecco each and breakfast.
The food at the restaurant was fabulous and they also have great vegan options as well!
We had a beautiful view of the river from our room which was refreshing too!
The bed was big and comfortable, you can tell they use quality products and bedding/pillows we had a comfortable sleep and will defo be booking there again!

One of the nicest salads I ever had. Full of flavour. Great service and very friendly. Lovely outside area over looking the river.
Cool vibe inside the restaurant/bar with lots of quirky tables including a nice upstairs and some tables outside by the river.
They didn't have stock of the item I wanted on the menu so had the flatbread instead which was tasty well made!
Staff were all friendly and smiley. Makes for a nice place for lunch
Food was really good and very well priced. Kids love their dishes and so do adults. Customer service was good too.
Absolutely love Albero Lounge. Very dog friendly and I love the food choice, there's so much, especially for vegetarians and vegans! Staff are always helpful and I find the service is very quick. Food has always been tasty and at a reasonable price, it's a regular for us!
To be honest we were only here for a quick beer but thoroughly enjoyed having a drink by the river. The bar staff were courteous and professional. We would definitely return to try the menu.

Geat experience on a Friday lunchtime. Excellent portions and tasty food. The fish fingers for our grandson were the best ever! I had an all day breakfast which was delicious

Edited review: After an unimpressive first impression I revisited Albero Lounge on a Saturday afternoon in July, and the experience was very good. The drinks and service were both good and there were lots of staff running things smoothly and tending to everyone. An enjoyable couple of drinks in a nice location with a nice atmosphere.
Clearly my original experience was an unfortunate one-off and a stressful situation for the staff on hand that night.
Would I now recommend? Yes.
Will I return? Yes.
Original review: Went there on a Friday evening around 8.30pm. Although there were plenty of people, it wasn't that busy. I went straight to the bar with my friends where they had 2 staff members serving drinks and one serving tables. The female bartender blanked us completely. After about 5mins of this, it became apparent she was working her way through table service orders. The other bar tender finished serving a customer and moved to the next one. We waited a bit longer to see if it was looking likely we'd get served soon, all the while getting unintentionally in the way of the table server. After around 10 - 12mins of this we left for another pub.
First impressions: Giving the benefit of doubt, I'll just say they were understaffed on a Friday night. That said there were people standing at the bar and a bar tender standing right in front of them, blanking them. Not a word to explain she was working the tables and someone would be with us asap... Or just a 'hello' and 'sorry we're a bit rushed at the mo'...
I get she was busy but sadly a snip of customer service or just a bit of personality would have left us happy to wait. Sadly both were bereft in the place. I'd given it more than enough time and left.
Will I be returning? Probably not.
Do I recommend the place? No.
It's a real shame I didn't get to review them for the drinks, atmosphere and location. But that's just how it goes.
Food was absolutely wonderful as usual, but as it was a very, very busy night, the orders for the drinks online were taking an hour to arrive. The acoustics of the place made it a little noisy, but hey, it was Friday night on a Bank Holiday, happy to make allowances. I would say on a less busy night this place would be fabulous.
Best meal out I've had in years. Good food, great service and good company. What more could a girl want?
Lovely food, service and relaxed environment. Good choices on the menu. Didn't use the hotel only the restaurant.
