Booked to break the journey home from Scotland. What a great place, a warm and friendly welcome. The room was lovely, big and spacious, and an ideal family room. Big shower. We had dinner at the pub. Good selection, with a good vegetarian choice. If you would like to eat, if staying I would advise you to book a table in advance.

Great froendly staff, cosy and stylish rooms, excellent food and beers. 300 year old building which is fascinating if you're into old architecture. Situated in quiet village 10 minutes from Leeming Bar which was ideal for our Polar Exprress visit. Definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back. 10/10 !! Many thanks!!

We had the loveliest meal at this perfect little pub in Hackforth. Such a warm welcome and friendly service. The mushroom starter was heavenly and the steaks delicious too. We’ll definitely be back when we next find ourselves in North Yorkshire!

A brilliant night’s stay at The Greyhound Inn. A warm welcome. A great bar with people to chat to. Excellent food served too! Look out for their special evenings - you could stay over and enjoy a wine tasting for example! Perfect night’s sleep followed by a really good breakfast. Nothing to complain about!

We were on a long journey home and rang, on the off chance, to book a Sunday roast just an hour before we passed. A space was made for us in the bar, and we had a warm welcome when we arrived. The food was delicious, friendly service, in a lovely, quiet location not too far from the A1, and our pooch was so comfy under the table she didn't want to leave. We will definitely return if we pass by again.

We arrived without booking but the staff went out of their way to make sure we didn't have to wait too long to be served. The pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. There was a small selection of wine but what they did have was very good. The beer was well kept and tasted great. We both had the fish and chips and what an absolute delight it was. Proper chips and the batter on the fish was probably the crispiest and tastiest I have ever eaten. Sadly we are only in the area for a short while but we will definitely be returning before we leave.
