This was my first time in Wimpy for decades. The Beckenham store has been recently refurbished. It was clean and had a calm atmosphere, The staff were all friendly and attentive. The quarter pounder with cheese and bacon was really nice, freshly cooked to order - nice soft white floured bun, crispy fresh lettuce and a pleasant, gentle taste of beef and bacon. The chips came in a generous portion and were well cooked and crispy. I'll be back!

Took my 2 year old son in today and could not fault it. Staff were extremely attentive to my son, making conversations and ensuring he had a good time. 2 drinks were slightly delayed (which wasn't an issue at all) and they were extremely considerate/ accommodating. Customer service was brilliant and both the young male, and young female with brown hair, made our visit worth returning too. Food was also delicious!

LIME MILKSHAKE!!! My parents divorced nearly 30 years ago when I was 10 and when I went to mums (I stayed with dad for school) in Beckenham for the weekend, we'd go here a lot. The food was relatively cheap and still is but mum knew how much I loved the lime milkshakes so I'd get one with the meal and one to go. I love this place because it brings back great memories of talking to her about anything and everything. I've only ever had the same thing here, battered fish, chips and peas and Lime Milkshake (I've recently started adding a bender on the side) and its stayed consistently delicious. Is it the best place for food? Probably not but its been a constant over the years, one of very few places that take me back to being 10. A few years back I went here to eat with my fiancé, I was told that they were stopping lime flavour and that I'd be the last person in the UK to ever have one. There was a genuine moment of sadness that my tradition would be lost. I didn't go back for ages until a friend told me they were doing them again. Fish and chips with any other drink would be a slap in the face to my memories. I should visit more often, it always seems so quiet when I do go, there's so many other places to eat nearby that this place gets overlooked. Obviously this isn't a review of the food so much as a trip down memory lane but I hope this place stays exactly like it is, they have a customer for life in me so long as they keep the fish and chips and lime milkshake. Next time I visit, I'm taking mum and were going to sit in our booth, second from the till on the left side.

This is the best Wimpy in the whole history of the universe! The manager is very friendly and you can even get counselling there. If the staff are in the mood they might even serenade you with a song on the guitar! This is not a wheelchair friendly place unless you can dismount to use the toilet. The place is immediately outside a bus stop if you find walking hard. They will let you stay here as long as you like if you want to relax and have your tea or read a book.

Went on bonfire night with 3 kids. We were taken to our seats. The place was quite busy and it took a while for the menu to be presented (I physically got up to ask for it and still had to wait). The place was clean, it felt modern and I liked the fact the kitchen was visible. As with all wimpy cafes the food was basic prep however for what it was they did an excellent job and they did the brand well. Their milk shake was throughly enjoyed by the kids. It passed my thickness test though I personally resisted it. Portion sizes were reasonable. The price was OK, its inflation so I guess I need to adjust what I determine as value. The menu layout I didn't like. I preferred other wimpy where you went through the booklet. The location is clear and visible. There is paid parking around. Not accessible. I was able to get a single push chair. A double push chair would struggle. I think the bathroom was passed the kitchen. Meaning you have to walk past staff (not keen about that). Overall, definitely come to the Wimpy you won't be disappointed.

I loved going to Wimpy as a kid and I still do, the food was great and so was the service. Sadly though there isn't many of these restaurants left, but those that remain are worth their weight in gold. As much as I hate to admit it through, I would have given it a 5 star rating, except that I can't make a habit of eating there all the time. It can be quite expensive to eat over there.
