The Chancery - Beckenham - Photo album

Lovely spot for a Sunday roast with a beer garden when the weather allows it. The food is delicious and the service is equally great. Bonus point: you're just behind Beckenham Park!
After reading a few recent negative reviews we thought we would give it a try anyway. We went there with a party of 4 for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. The staff greeted us with a big smile and took us to the table. Starters were huge and tasty, especially the calamari - not oily at all.
Really hearty tasty roast. Good portions, tasty meat and the veg was really well cooked. The creamed leaks were delicious. Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was superb, amazing flavour, good size and the custard was to die for. Reasonable prices, about £28 per person for three course and
WARNING: the portion sizes, especially the starters, are NOT small. Had a great time for Sunday lunch. It was really hot so didn't want the roast but had one fish and chips and a few starters to share between two and was absolutely stuffed. The food was good but the halloumi fries were the real sta
We popped in and they were fully booked for the dinner side area but the lovely lady said if we managed to get a table at the bar area we could eat there if we wanted 🙂 and we got a Sunday roast veg option and fish and chips so everything ended up great and was very tasty too.
Great selection of beers on tap. Amazing pizza from van outside only on Sundays, you're allowed to have it in the pub.
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service
Had a family meal here. All good, nice atmosphere, nice food. Parking is a bit of a mare. Popular place, so need to book.
Amazing Irish music live night! Super kind staff and good drinks to complement the friendly environment
What a lovely pub. Great food with wonderful and friendly staff. On a cold Sunday afternoon is there any other choose but a Sunday Roast, beef with all the trimmings and a Yorkshire pudding big enough for two (although I didn’t share). The restaurant was fully booked but that didn’t stop me enjoying
Always friendly and a reliable feast on any day of the week. If I could, I would eat here much more often than I do now x Thank you everyone
The Sunday roast is fabulous. I had the veggie option and my partner had roast beef. Both were ample portions and very, very tasty. Staff can’t do enough for you and Lauren the manager is so welcoming and makes everyone feel like a regular. It’s a great example of a traditional pub.
Superb pie of the day, steak and ale. Fish and chips excellent. Brilliant service from an incredibly hard working Lauren!
Quite a noisy pub lunch, the food was excellent and the waiters were friendly and helpful.
Had a really delicious Sunday roast for lunch at The Chancery today. My husband had beef and I had the veggie option - all delicious and the leeks, parsnips and carrots were especially delicious (side-note: the Yorkshire pudding was HUGE!). Lovely desserts too: they have classic options like sticky
Fantastic night in the private function room. Food was amazing, service brilliant and having our own bar and barman was the icing on the cake. A wonderful evening and I can't recommend this place more!
