Hidden gem in the countryside. We did arrive in the dark on a Thursday evening when no one else was in the pub. The path is very narrow to get to the pub, however the place and food is amazing. Turned up at 7:30pm on a Thursday was the perfect time as we had the whole place to ourselves. Amazing food as you can see from the photos. We will definitely be back.

We stopped here for lunch after a dog walk in the beautiful surrounding area. Sat outside in the sunshine definitely works here. Service was great, food was superb and a good selection of drinks. Dogs are catered for with drinks bowls, there's plenty of areas for shade and the staff seem to like the dogs being there. We will be back.

A regular place for us to eat and not my first review however last night's meal definitely deserves a shout out. Last minute decision to go, no problem getting a table. The service as always was friendly and accommodating but not invasive. The food is always good but this meal was the best we have had at the Smokey Cow. The chicken and waffles got a huge thumbs up as did the brisket hot dog. If you have never been I urge you to go.

Visited the Smokey Cow at Beckberry yesterday lunch time and enjoyed a really first class roast dinner. The meal was superb, I am not usually a fan of Sunday roasts but this was something else. The beef was melt in your mouth tender and very generous in quantity. The Smokey Cow pub was extremely pleasant inside and the staff were excellent with first class service. There was lots of seating capacity outside and a pleasant play area safely fenced in for children. Good parking. Toilets well up to standard, really clean and newly decorated. A really great experience

What a find! Food was fabulous. We had starters and a few main courses and shared across 5 people and only came to c.£15 a head. And we're stuffed! Staff were lovely. We will definitely make a special trip back again.

Lovely country pub with delicious food. We had the pulled pork nachos to start with then I had the 16 hour slow cooked brisket, my wife had the half rack of ribs and chicken, both accompanied with chips and homemade coleslaw. Is your mouth watering yet? And yes they taste as good as you'd imagine. The wait staff couldn't be more helpful or nice. Only downsides are: 1) the parking, small car park, you'll be lucky to find a space at busy periods; 2) there is seating outside, we sat inside and it was loud, the old solid walls seem to reverberate the sound so much it's hard to hear people. They then had a musician play, which obviously increased the problem. That being said, I would highly recommend going for the food and great people that work there, just be prepared for a possible slight inconvenience.

We went for Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago and it was amazing, the beef brisket was incredible and there was a real depth of flavour to every item on the Sunday dinner. Lovely place to go and the staff were lovely, highly recommend for Sunday dinner

First time eating here after driving around the area and spotting it. Booked for 1400 and we were greeted by lovely staff all adhering to government guidelines. A dog friendly venue which is important for us. We sat in the marquee which is in the shade (obviously) but it is quite cool even with the sun out. It was quite busy. This is our first time going to a bar/restaurant since lockdown has eased. Really fancied a Guinness but unfortunately they didn’t have it and other half fancied a Aperol spritz which they also didn’t have, there was no drinks menu which is a bit of an inconvenience. Settled for a San Miguel which was spot on. We ordered starters to share which was chicken strips and rib tips. The coating on the chicken strips wasn’t to my liking, thought it lacked flavour, but the rib tips were very nice. For mains we had Kentucky lamb shank & 16 hour smoked Texas brisket. We had a side of corn on the cob & porky fries. The porky fries came with the starters which was unusual but wasn’t an issue - very tasty and reminds me smoky bacon crisp. When the mains came out, we was more than impressed with the food and it was very filling. Both meats were cooked to perfection, with the brisket literally falling apart. I feel that the lamb shank could have done with more glaze. Now the cornbread was very tasty and very moorish, with a layer of burnt crispy cheese on top! (The doggo enjoyed the lamb bone at home). Bill came to around £69 with 4 drinks which is very reasonable. 4 stars given only because no drinks menu available and certain drinks not available, but other than that highly recommended and we will be back for Sunday roast and to try rest of the menu!

Ten of us came to the Smokey Cow for a meal. There was a good range of meals to choose from. Other than the bbq style food there was Salmon and cooked to order fish and chips. The portions are very generous too. The staff were very good hosts.

It was our first visit for my birthday lunch. The food and service was lovely but we were the only people in there, so the atmosphere was lacking. Not their fault I know, so we will visit in the evening next time.
