Very impressed with the food, the service and the surroundings. We last visited here many years ago and I have to say we weren't impressed then but thought we would visit again and it was great. The food was delicious and portion size was very generous. Plenty of choice too, considering it was Sunday when a Sunday lunch is usually all you get to choose from. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Service was fast and efficient. We will visit again.

Perfect end to our visit to Beamish Museum. Staff were lovely especially with my noisy four year old grandson and the food was great. Great choice on menu and excellent value for money.

Thanks for making our family celebration for our Mum's 70th such a special occasion. The food and service were great and we all enjoyed the comfort and space to relax together in the Farrier Room.

I won a competition on Facebook for me and 3 friends to enjoy lunch and wine at the stables. We arrived and the place itself is absolutely beautiful the scenery is amazing. We were taken to our seats by a lovely lady Collette I think her name was. We ordered 3 courses and each and every one of them were beautiful. We will definitely be returning here! Rachel and Christina were very polite and made our experience very friendly and comfortable.

My wife and I went for a meal here on a dinner bed breakfast deal at The Beamish Hotel. It was excellent, the food was divine. I had large prawns cooked in garlic with a dipping sauce of spring onions, garlic, coriander and oil, to say "tasty" doesn't do it justice. I would highly recommend this restaurant as all the food was of a good standard. The breakfast was a good start to the day and so fresh. Try it for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.

Loved this place. Great atmosphere and relaxing and comfortable. Great aesthetic inside and out. Dog friendly inside and out. Bowl of water was brought straight over when we sat down. We sat inside. The food was excellent. Staff friendly. Did I mention dog friendly. Right behind Beamish Hall Hotel. Also next to Beamish museum. Free parking. Beautiful grounds. Would definitely recommend.

Nice venue but we arrived at 4 and it was too late for lunch and too early for evening food - we were told there was no food Pleasant courtyard but we had to clear our table ourselves

You know those places you eat and you're forever waiting for service, drunks and food? This place is the opposite. Speedy service, attentive staff, and good food and beers.

Extremely accomedating for allergies. Visited both for breakfast and dinner while staying at the hotel. Lots to choose from at the breakfast self serving station with a hot meal for every guest. The bar and restaurant had a lovely atmosphere at night time to chill out after a long day.

Another one of our impromptu visits and was happily surprised by the food. My wife ordered a starter of mussels and we both thought we accidentally ordered the main because of the sheer size that in itself is a bonus (can never have enough right?) Hopefully, photos do it justice but my steak sandwich was just so yummy All round delicious and food much better than expected.

Lovely evening. Great service and delicious food. We had booked our table for later in the evening but arrived early and the lovely restaurant manager fitted us in and gave us a table early. The food was absolutely delicious. Thai chicken cakes & Moules starters, mutton tagine & seabass mains followed by mango panda cotta & Cheeseboard. Good bottle of house red to wash it down. Very attentive waitress, pre- empting extra Crockery, cutlary, ice etc before having to ask for them. Can definitely recommend and looking forward to going back. Staying at Beamish Hall overnight which is also really nice.

It's been so long since I was last here, well before lockdown. The place had the same feel, nice courtyard if you want to enjoy a drink outside and lovely decor inside, very inkeeping with the buildings original use. Staff greeted us on arrival & were very friendly and polite throughout our visit too. Unfortunately they no longer have their own onsite brewery and therefore their own beers are no longer available, I was devastated. They do keep other real ales/handpull but it's not the same. I was with family today, there were 5 of us. I booked a table on line, which was remarkably easy, I even amended the booking to change our arrival time, which again was hassle free. Apart from myself and dad, everyone went for fish and chips. We were all amazed at the portion size and everyone enjoyed it although the food took +half an hour to arrive. I went for a philly Cheese steak panini with fries which was Iovely and just enough. Dad went for a ham n cheese sandwich with chips, he enjoyed but I think he was looking at my panini

Beautiful outdoor terrace for al fresco dining leads into the indoor dining tastefully done throughout. Staff so polite and friendly well informed on the dishes no longer available before you broused over the menu. The food from starters through main to dessert, amazingly presented and tasted delicious

Very friendly staff, clean, safe and secure. Food was all excellent with very good portions. A bargain in the eat out to help out scheme currently in operation. I'd give five stars of the beer offering was a little better, very little on offer for craft beer, but had four cask on so still pretty good.

Had two lovely meals in the restaurant. Lovely friendly staff and quick service. We enjoyed sitting out in the Courtyard both evenings. Staff were helpful at helping carry drinks outside.
